How ignorant, you really are. Recessions are a necessary evil. When an economy goes through a recession, the companies with poor business plans end up either reorganizing their companies, or go bankrupt all together; effectively "trimming the fat" off of the economy, allowing for the companies who competed for business, and had a solid business plan, to absorb the extra business from the company who folded. Once the recession is over, the surviving companies are even stronger than they were before the recession hit.
Of coarse, this all can be undermined if/when a government gives these failed businesses bailouts.
You have got to be kidding me right? First of all, FDR was elected for four terms because we were in the middle of WW2. Pick up a history book. And second of all, Social Security will be bankrupt by 2037, 5 years before I plan on retiring, and 10 years before I'm eligible for S.S. benefits. So S.S. is the biggest Social experiment to fail!
Just imagine if you can stop paying into Social Security, and take the extra money you have every month and put it into a retirement fund...... Betcha'd have a lot more money when you'd retire!!!
The real reason the cost is rising so fast is two fold. 1) The doctors are performing numerous unnecessary procedures, and charging the insurance companies who don't question the doctor's words; they just pay out. This is called fleecing of the insurance companies by doctors. 2) Malpractice lawyers are some greedy some umma beaches. They also fleece the insurance companies when they have to pay out millions upon millions of dollars for a doctors mistakes. Reform those two and watch the cost's plummet.
Social Security is one of the biggest blunders in American Social experimentism. It's set to be bankrupt in 2037. That means that I'll be paying into it my whole life and won't see a dime of it when I retire. So, as it turns out, it wasn't such a good idea. I guess that's why Obama wants to kill off all of the old people, so he can claim that he fixed the Social Security problem too! lol.
Look, I understand that there are people out there who can't afford a car. But do I think that the Government should take over the car industry and tax the super wealthy to pay for cars that poor people can drive? Isn't that why we have public transportation?
Health care industry employs around 2.5 million people.
Govt taxes only top 5% of earners meaning that 95% of people will now have "free" health care. Instead of paying for health care through their employers, 95% of America goes on the "Public option".
Health care industry is dead, because it can't compete with "Free" health care.
2.5 million people lose their jobs.
Unemployment rate skyrockets creating another "Great recession."
And yes, 95% of Americans have health coverage.
Once again, I ask you, name a group of people that don't have it!
First of all, I never said I wanted to change military health care. Someone was asking me about it. And don't act like you know what you're talking about when it comes to Chain of Command.
Second of all, have you noticed how no one ever talked about health care problems until Obama became president? This has everything to do with politics; nothing to do with a government caring for it's people. This is just another ploy to get more Americans dependent on the federal government. 95% of Americans have health insurance. Can you even tell me what group of Americans don't have it?? The poor have medicaid. The elderly have Medicare, and working fools have PRIVATE health insurance.
I agree that we need some sort of Reform, but a "Public Option" only kills the Private insurance industry and makes people more dependent on big government.
Well, you see, in the military, we have this thing called a "Chain of command." So if I wanted my "republican administration" to "change" the military health care, I'd first have to ask my Division officer, then my Department head, then my Executive officer, Commanding officer, Wing commander, Base Commanding officer, Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific Fleet, Commander Naval Air Forces, Chief of Naval Personnel, Chief of Naval Operations, Secretary of the Navy, Then finally, the Commander in Chief. Then a bill would have to be drafted, then the House of Rep. would have to vote on it, then the Senate, then The President would have to sign off on it.
This could take the better part of forever to get done.
That's a really good question, and the answer is yes. It is free for military personel. "Does it work," you ask. Technically, yes, it does. But, it is far from desirable. I like to say that there is no "care" in military "health care."
RE: Obama Rocks! Could the job being done better by republicans?
It's hard for me to believe you, of all people, have the right to call anybody "dumb." Try proof reading your post before you hit enter.
