I had to do some heavy thinking about this.....'cause I've been around (you should excuse the expression)
And no smart remarks about my having a lot of "mileage"!

And, hopefully, I'm not finished yet. I used up 2 passports, just got my new one. It's good for 10 years. Don't know if I am!
Never really thought about it, but what I'd really like to know is whether or not anyone here has ever really made use of the vest...a ditching in any water?
Hey Gang....Don't forget....Tonite is another Chocolate Pudding Wrestling Match. We need a few more contestants.....and if you're not up to wrestling, we can always use the fans to keep us motivated.
It's not so easy for an old lady...Charlie takes no prisoners...and tonite he's promising to pull hair. I'm afraid if anyone pulls hard enough, mine won't grow back in.
Check with the Pudding Thread for the stareting time.
Yup, My Grandma always use to call her chicken soup, "Jewish Penicillin".
Whenever we were sick...with anything....she served it...and it always made us feel better. Eventually I read an article, if I can find the time, I'll Google it, where I learned that there is something in chicken...or maybe in the fat or the skin.......that has some healing qualities.....and, now I believe it. I lived it before I read it.
Oh, do I wish I had a chicken in the freezer. Now I'm gonna have to go out tomorrow and buy a chicken and all those fabulous veggies....two orders, because I'm gonna have to throw out the "boiled out veggies". And, in all this 100 degree weather, too.. Who started this thing about chicken soup, anyway.?
Ice, a beautiful, heartfelt post. You are SO right. And, sweetie, if anyone had told me in my twenties, that there was a lot I did not know....I NEVER WOULD HAVE BELIEVED THEM. I'm SURE I knew it all.
Well, over the years, with my friends, my travels, my single life, and yes, my romantic interludes, I have learned SOOO much. I still have a thirst for knowledge...now studying comparative religions...just want to know where and when we all went separate ways...and why. There's never an end to learning. And, sometimes we aren't all that separate.
Yes, we are all indviduals with our backgrounds, our hopes, our fears, our wishes and yes, our baggage....something I happen to think is necessary because as I've said before, it is filled with everything that made us who were are today.
There is so much truth and poignancy in what you've said. I enjoy being your friend.
Gee, You've got some GREAT info coming through here. I have a few thoughts, since I am into many health foods and natural remedies myself.
I am a diabetic. I cannot just take a certain remedy because of effects on my BP, my sugar, etc., but my doctor and my nutritionist have given me alternatives which work just fine. Please be sure that you make a list of all medications you take and see to it that both pharmacist and nutritionist, along with the doctor, see this list regularly. Sometimes, inadvertent errors occur. I have caught them and brought them to the attention of both doctor and pharmacy.!!!
I don't get migranes, but the nutritionist suggested using Stevia for sweetning. It's all natural. He also told me as far as splenda is concerned, the other sugars I would eat would kill me a lot faster than the aspartame in Sweet n Low., or some other chemicals. I don;t like the aftertaste w/ aspartame products.
Chicken Soup....my Jewish Grandma handed down her recipe many, many years ago and it worked wonders on lots of ailments...you've already seen a recipe...try it!
Now I'm gonna post this and go back and learn more. Good thread.
I may have been posting that one before I knew he was 4 years old. However, when I was doing child care at the Federal Prison, there were some 4 years olds who had accidents, especially after naps, and the girls trained a bit sooner than the boys....
No offense meant, sweetie. I like to hear about the soft side of Grampa Chaz. And, by the way, I can also see you as a minister. I have recently met a Pastor in this area, around your age, and he is a PISTOL. This Jewish princess has become the token "Jewtheran" at his Lutheran church services on Sundays. Learning a lot more about the Old Testament than I ever learned in Temple..
Sometimes we can't rely on technology. I prefer to think we can try to rely on ourselves.
I admit that I find it difficult not to post when I read some of what I think of as unfair comments, but when I take the time to really think about it..., I decide that these are people with whom I have no interest in becoming friends or having relationships with. I realize that THEY are doing me a favor, narrowing down the mass of people available for me to sort through for relationships.
Try looking at it that way...tranquility is often nice, but self control may even bring more inner peace????
Okay guys...Age Schmage and all the rest of that stuff.....It's o.k. to like me, but no fair keeping any eligible guys away from me just so I hafta stay in the forums...after all, I've reached the stage of life where pretty soon I won't be buying green bananas anymore.
Of course I will, can you imagine me even considering giving up? Never. Now I want all of ya to...run right out and find me a guy....really he SHOULD be over 45, don't ya think?
It's so much fun being here with all of you....well, MOST OF THE TIME, ANYWAY.
Hey, I really love those Mods. They're cool. Think any of em are over 40?
That's how I felt. I went from thread to thread, read all the stuff, bit my tongue instead of posting anything and spent half the night reporting. I'm glad I did. Since the Mods can't police all the sites, it's up to us, because just backing away won't solve anything.
Yes, a few will always want to be what you said , but a goodly amount fell for it and now are just realizing that they can't put total trust in anything that goes on here. Let's hope they now understand why it is important to be able to look at a problem from BOTH sides before forming opinions.
Just use your own good judgment, report when necessary...giveing good details to assist the Mods, and DON'T TALK ABOUT IT!!!!
Hey Ojazos..........You're here. I was worried about you. Guess you didn't lose your electricity. Have been so busy online today that I haven't heard any news lately,.
Certainly hope that you and yours all made it through nature's unleashed fury.
RE: the first time you tell someone your dating you love them do you look into their eyes and tell them
Harleyquinn:I must remind myself of this next time I even THINK of using those words to someone over the internet whom I have not yet met!
