RE: I like Earl Gray Tea

Chaz Sweetie,

Ya can't scare me...I'm ready when you are.....just let me know...I MIGHT have to take a nap before we leave.

Well, I AM OLD, YA KNOW.

It's o.k., though, if you have to take a nap along the way, I'll keep watch so nuttin will git ya..

Does this really belong on the cat's pee thread? Oops, I mean the TEA thread.

RE: Absolute perfection... Absolutely........

As far as I'm concerned, you've posted the best answer of all of them.!!!

(Actually, God isn't through with any of us yet, but perhaps you were the only one to realize it.)

At my age, I can't wait to see what HE's got planned toward MY perfectionuh oh

You don't HAVE to admit you were WRONG.....

Why can't you just tell them all that you had your arms crossed when you were figuring it out. (The right hand is always EAST)...you just had your arms folded, c'est todo!rolling on the floor laughing

You are all too fast for me. When I see something spelled differently than I know it in English, I try to take the time to look it up to be sure there are not two places with el nombre lo mismo.

There are some in the last list that I am familiar with, but I can't get back to them without losing this posting, so Esta necessito que yo regressara mas tarde ...

RE: I like Earl Gray Tea

OK. Coleen:

Since no one else has asked ya,.......I will............

Do you make it a habit to taste cat's pee?

confused

I love Earl Gray Teas, also. I limit myself to the non-caffeine flavors and have found them to be delicious. I have not ever had tea with cream yet.....guess there's no time like the present to try it, right Chaz?

(I can light a fire & boil water, so I better bring some along on the hike. Dang, that backpack is getting heavier...haft ta carry a pot, now..)

One of my other favorites, is CONSTANT COMMENT....I grew up drinking Constant Comment because it is made in Norwalk, CT. , where I grew up. Some of my friends worked there and gave me samples. It's sold everywhere around the world......to my surprise.

Had a chance to visit a Tea Farm several times in China...fascinating experience. Has anyone seen how it grows? How it's picked? How it's dried and blended? Then we all sat down and sipped it...Ummmmm.

Think I'll go steep myself a spot of tea. Thanks for the idea.

RE: Well looks as some people does not have any idea of geaography.....

Buenas dias Amiga:

Here are some of the answers to the above....

Yukon Territories - NW Canada...East of Alaska...Capital is Whitehorse... famous for fur traders and Klondike Goldrush. Have taken groups there...fascinating history.....interesting tour.

Groningen...Somewhere in the Netherlands...Don't recall having been in that city.

Parthenon...in Athens, Greece. Took a group to Greece...Visited Athens and explored Acropolis and Parthenon, Crete, Santorina, Rhodes, and more..

Laussane....City in Switzerland...

Do you mean the PLAZA of 3 Cultures? If so, I believe that's right in Mexico City. I visited Mexico, muchas veces, including right after the devastating earthquake. The Government invited writers and travel agents down there to see that the entire city was NOT wiped out. I wrote an article for my home town newspaper.

Louvre...I believe in Paris..haven't been to France

Amazon River.....runs through South America. I traveled on the Amazon (even went swimming with pirhana) explored all over the area.....

Alcazar - Palace outside Madrid.....visited all around there....Loved all of Spain.....

Black Sea - in Mediterranean area...famous for Noah's ark story and shipwrecks lending credulity to the stories of the great flood and buried cities.

Estonia...European Country on the Eastern shore of the Baltic Sea...near Finland

Madeira - Island near Spain and Portugal...not far from the Canary Islands....visited Madeira...lovely contry...wine, too!

Saint mareno...will have to look that one up.

How fortunate I am to have visited many of these places...Espero que yo memory esta correctamente.

RE: to all the ladies....

I'm fine, Chele....I'm just getting to find my way around this new site. Being a writer, I can't resist a chance to play with the use of words among some great fun-loving people.

When I see posters from some great places in the world where I have been lucky enough to have traveled, I can get carried away. Poor, Grizz...he doesn't know me from Adam (or Eve as the case may be), and I think I'm old enough to be his mother...but, so far he's been a good sport about it.

I'm still dying to know exactly what his job entails up there in Alaska....It's mighty cold up there in Winter...I've been told by MANY.

Hope to meet you often in threads...and, remember, even though we're restricted to only 3 emoticons, you'll probably know for sure when I'm being funnyrolling on the floor laughing

Sincerely,

RE: to all the ladies....

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies.....If all you young ones are suffering from your "Get up and go having gotten up and gone," let this ole lady take it from here.

If you're gonna be thread stoppers...I'll carry on...all by myself....Well, I just might have to take a nap before I begin the trip rolling on the floor laughing

Well, Grizz was sure up in some beautiful country...it's a shame you didn't get a chance to go looking for him up there. I was up there, but, at the time, didn't know him.crying

Mi Amiga:

Gracious para su palabras buenas.....Yo no se todas las paises y cuidades, pero yo piense que Toledo esta en Portugal. If Death Ocean is Dead Sea....that is in Israel. I went swimming in the Dead Sea. The Masada is there, tambien.

Pienso que Notre Damme esta in France? Y uno de los reefs, mas grande esta Great Barrier Reef...off Australia.....beautiful place. Las Vegas is, of course, in Nevada.

Please tell me the location of Agua Azul , City of Light...and the other large reef?

Not bad for an old lady. You know, of course, that after the age of 50, no esta necessario que una persona estara perfecto!!!

Yo me gusta practicar su lingua, pero en la noche, para me cabeza, las palabras estan como huevos revueltas (scrambled eggs)

I sure hope you can understand me! Hasta la proxima vez...

RE: For the Older Set!!!!

Don't know where everyone is, but there are so many interesting blogs and threads on here that I spend much of my time bouncing all over the place.

So far, everyone has really been nice.....

Boston, Don....I loved Boston.....Went to college there, but have also taken many, many people around Boston while on duty as a Tour Director. Never enough time to see it all...at least before my FEET gave out.

I check in here regularly...because, I think I may be the OLDEST of the "Older Set"., but have also been trying to welcome others when I find their Threads.

Can someone tell me how to easily find their threads.? I spend an awful lot of time clicking to find stuff. Sometimes I wonder if I'll EVER really learn how to work this contraption.doh

RE: How rude of me...

Hi Belinda:

I'm so glad you didn't delete and that you found the writers. Now you have seen the whole other side of cyber life. And, from what you have to say and how you say it, you never can tell...that needle in the haystack may just find you!

That's my theory, anyway. And, if I haven't given up at 71, I probably never will. The key is, that I have been single long enough to know that I CAN MAKE IT ON MY OWN. I don't particularly WANT to, but, I CAN.!

I'll look for your posts....you'll find me all over the place. I am a writer and I post blogs and forums on about 3 sites, so I keep hopping.
I'm trying to transfer one over here now..not very good at it, so you may not be able to see it til tomorrow...but there are a few on here.

Again, welcome...I'm only here for a few weeks, but everyone sure was GREAT...and HELPFUL in showing me around.

Sincerely,
Knittin Kitten

RE: Well looks as some people does not have any idea of geaography.....

I think the thread is GREAT...not scary. It's just that not every one has traveled...and ellos no estuven en la escuela para muchos anos.

I have been so busy reading all the postings that I have not taken the time to answer. Even though I have traveled all over the world, I did not know a couple of them.

I realize how lucky I am to have traveled to many of the places you have mentioned. ....including many cities in your lovely country of Mexico.

My espanol no esta muy bueno todavia, per pence que ieta mejor que nada.

I will try to think up a list of places where I have been.

Comment on my FAVORITE hair?

Dang, I consider myself very LUCKY to have ANY hair at my age!!!

If you take a little peek under that Big RED HAT, you'll find the most gorgeous SILVER hair you've ever seen........and, it's shoulder length, too.

I don't even want to discuss the attributes of a silver-haired lady who has made it this far.cheering dancing

YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT????

Well, I didn't exactly take the day off. I've just posted another Blog. There isn't a dull moment around here.

RE: Ladies ...

Just a Head's Up folks....Ladies AND Gents, my newest Blog is up.
The Title is "HE'S MATURE, HONEST & NAUGHTY...2 OUT OF 3 IS GOOD.....I THINK?

Gents, don't get upset.....It's TRUE. But, NOWHERE do I EVER
say that ALL MEN do or do not behave in any way. You are all individuals and deserve courtesy and respect from a lady, until or unless you, yourself, create the problem.

Why not take a run over to Blogs and read it. I'd love to hear your comments.

Sincerely,
JUDY

RE: UFO's

Thanks, ICE...he was gonna let me know how his job search turned out. I'm sure he'll get to me when he has time.

He'll be happy to know there's enough real interest to keep this going...without testosterone getting in the way.

If I want testosterone, I'll pick him out myself!.

Scarlets:

I doubt if I will EVER be convinced they don't exist. I believe much of what I've watched and heard...including the government covering up!

It IS scary, and although I understand the need for national security, I don't think it's long before some REAL truths come out in the open.

Hopefully it's BEFORE those folks who know the truth get hit by a BUS!. Accidents? I don't THINK so.

Right On there, ICE......Those are my thoughts exactly. I fully believe that a brain can also attract an eye!

Question for ya......I just checked on my latest Blog....there were an awful lot of views, but not even one comment. That seems odd since I usually get many. Have you seen it yet.? Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

RE: Who Likes Snakes?

Did you ever read about the snake that got LOST here in the Villages last year?

Don't remember what kind, but it was HUGE!!! Son of a resident in the Villages came to visit his parents...Not wanting to leave it home alone, brought it with him
wow

Had it in a cage in the garage, returned from an outing to find the cage empty. TOTAL PANIC THROUGHOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
(Probably the biggest news to hit our local paper other than the opening of another Wal-Mart. golf course, or restaurant.)

After about 3 days of no one visible out on the streets...headlines as follows:

LOST SNAKE FOUND................

Where? Crawled up in the rainspout of that house and could not back out. Go figure.

The son said he had heard it "calling" to him.doh

Do snakes speak? It was BIG...probably a boa?

Funny how we don't think about what pictures some of our phrases put in the minds of others.

In farm country, I'm guessing that everyone knows what a "Barn Dance" is.....guess they no longer clear out the barn and set it up for partying, but have certainly been to many hoe-downs in barn-like looking buildings.

Hey, when ya live out in the country, that's a MAJOR weekend Activity!!!

RE: IT"S MONDAY !

Good afternoon, my friend............

Your weather sounds very much like our weather when I was living on the Big Island of Hawaii.

I was up about 1,000 feet, between 2 old volcanoes, and we started out with BEAUTIFUL mornings, watched the clouds roll in, and could practically see them crash...from both sides, and then the flood gates opened up. My mom says it's to wash her car. By brother says it's to save him from having to water the garden.

Here in Central Florida, it's pretty much the same...except we have UNBELIEVABLE THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. It's dangerous, and almost every cloudburst is followed by sirens from some form of first responders. I'm assuming you know about our tornado last spring!

In Ct., on our horse farm, I really enjoyed the space, solitude and not having to avoid the neighbors. But, these days, I guess there's some comfort in knowing there are folks nearby, if needed in an emergency.

Didn't get to chat much yesterday...thanks for protecting me from getting chopped up in the testosterone battle....MY HERO.....I'd NEVER SHOOT ya... Did finally post a new Blog....take a look....I can't say that my life is DULL!.

My week? I'll be THRILLED if the carpenter who was supposed to repair my floor last week.....SHOWS UP...any day this week.....rain OR shine.

Any good discussions planned today?

See y'all later.

dJohnn:

I just went back and looked at my post to be sure that I sent it to you in a way that you would realize was humorous. I hate those little emoticons, but, perhaps I should use them so that No One is offended by my constant barrage of (what I think is) humor!

I am a writer, dJ, and my work is well dotted with humor...because, sometimes what we have to endure, if I don't Laugh at it, I might be tempted to cry.

Please know that you have not spoken out of turn at all, and, of course, none of us wish to offend you. That's not what this is all about. Read my blogs and postings when you have time...I'm even open to your criticism!

RE: UFO's

I will have to learn a little about how to search threads. I'll be in deep doo doo if I start something without doing that.

Maybe someone with more knowledge than I have will do it. I don't know enough to discuss it, just extremely interested and want to learn more.

I've read a lot about this stuff, but it was so long ago that I've forgotten the names of the books.

I'll check in tomorrow to see what's going on. Gotta get my blogs up.

RE: UFO's

BND....You can send me all those links you recommend. I will try to watch them but with my slow hook-up they take forever...and, they also play for a few seconds, freeze, then play again.....so I usually lose interest. It may be faster for me to just read.

Ya know what else I'd like to discuss, ....maybe that other thread...CROP CIRCLES. know SOME of them are HOAXES...BUT are they ALL?

AND....I've done some reading about the BERMUDA TRIANGLE. That kind a stuff intrigues me. I'm nervous every time I'm in that area.

What do ya know about the underwater cities and highways in the Bahamas?

Judy

YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT????

Wow, gang...a gal takes the afternoon off and returns to this wonderful, wonderful welcome. I sure hope I can live up to all your great expectations of me....I think I can.....I think I can....I think I can. (Well, I DO have a past that included nursery rhymes!)

The title of my thread? I was told to choose something catchy...Guess they were right. (The WHAT was really just to write something about myself, simple as that.)

Statement to all....NO, taking a nap absolutely doesn't mean you are OLD. You don't even have to admit to anyone that you do! But, if ya want to stay up half the nite, sometimes a nap is necessary. I have friends in many different countries...Europe, Australia, China and Hawaii just keep me on a merry-go-round and I hate to miss their calls.

That list will be growing, I know. In perusing the profiles, I have found so many of you from so many countries that I have visited, that I am sure I will touch base with you....Germany, Spain, Peru, India, Israel, England, Gomera and so many more. If I try to click back to see them, I am SURE I will lose this post....been there and done that..

BND & ICE....yup...great friends....AND, whenever the going gets rough in some of the forums, they both have my back...Thanks...I love you both and am so happy for ya. You inspire me!!!!

If I have any suggestion for the newcomers, EXPLORE, EXPLORE, EXPLORE. And, add to any posts that interest you. Don't forget the "Older Set" either......Remember, those who read your writings will know more about who you REALLY are than anything you can say yourself. You can say what you think, how you feel ...and disagree with others. The main thing to remember is to be polite and respectful.

Oh yes, and divide your words into paragraphs every 6 lines or so. It makes it soooo much easier to read. (The Editor in me has just made this announcement.)

Thanks again, everyone. after I do my dinner dishes and take out the garbage, I'll attempt another blog. I'm working on the one from Sleep Away Camp.

Luv n Stuff,
JUDY
