I'm KNITTIN KITTEN a/k/a RED HOT (oops, I mean HAT) MAMA.
Very possibly the OLDEST person on this site.....71 years....and, you EXPECT me to fit my life into this small space? Do you all realize that I've got a lot of miles on me.?.........I've been around..... Now, before you all get the wrong idea, I have to tell you that I was an International Tour Director for 39 years. Ok. Do you feel better now?
As you will soon be able to tell, I'm never at a loss for words......I'm a writer. So far, most people seem to enjoy what I have to say. And, I've even been published...some people have even paid me for what I have to say.
I'm new to this FUN site and so far have been very busy familiarizing myself with the threads and blogs, AND the MEN (and great ladies, too.) I've posted a few, but, there are more coming...(Don't know whether that's a threat or a promise.) But, although they're all true pieces of my life, they are full of humor....even though they might NOT have been at the time of the occurrence!
I brought up two children alone, spent about 10 years in Parents Without Partners, where I edited a Newsletter and gave workshops on how to do it. (That was, of course, AFTER I learned how.) I even won some international awards for my efforts.
I drove school busses, taught new bus drivers, drove a 50 foot rack truck, worked as a chef in a childrens' camp, became a travel agent and then a Tour Director. This led to a plethera of adventures which were too good not to write down. I traveled all over the world and for that I will be eternally grateful. I have been fortunate to have seen most of the Wonders of the World. And, I'm even more fortunate that my memory still permits me the joy of sharing with you.
So, after 39 years of it, I have enough for a book. I will need time to get my stories posted on this site. (Maybe, if YOU'RE lucky, some guy will come along, steal my heart and wisk ME away into the sunset on the back of his Harley, and you won't have to get stuck reading them all.)
By the way, I haven't really slowed down....I'm still full of energy . I can still do pretty much everything I used to do. (So what if maybe sometimes I have to take an afternoon nap.) That could happen to you someday, too, ya know.
You can find out more about me by taking a look at my profile....and my pics. And, you're all welcome to email me. I look forward to meeting you all...and hope that you are entertained by my adventures.
Oh yes, the RED HAT.....I'm currently Queen Mum of my RED HAT LADIES Chapter here at the RV Park where I live, in Florida. During the Snowbird season, we have a great bunch of "old ladies" who dress up in Red Hats and purple outfits and go out on the town, laughing and having fun. We've earned it...along with the silver hair and the wrinkles, too.
Welcome to all of you who read this. You're going to find Connecting singles a very pleasuravble experience.
Judy, it is always....ALWAYS such a pleasure to read what you write....You are an amazing woman....always with great insight and wisdom. You seem to know what to say at the perfect time.

That's because she's the QUEEN MUM of her Red Hat Chapter.
OMG, this reminds me of a movie and I can't for the life of me, think of the name of it. Guess it's just too early in the mornin' to be thinkin' too much. Where's the coffee?
Seriously now, Welcome Judy. I enjoy reading your messages.
jUDY YOU ARE HERE READY TO TURN CS ON ITS END.i KNEW WHEN i FIRST READ THAT YOU WERE BURSTING TO COME JOIN US WE ARE LIKE ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY HERE.aND IF SOME LITTLE ROMANCE WE WISH WE WERE THE ONE THERES THE SAYING GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT.WELCOME FROM HONEY TO A DISNEY WORLD OF OUR OWN CS.
Hey now, I want to take some credit for bringing this fine lady over here, She's dear friend from a previous site. Her writings are alwys perfect. Now's just the right thing to say. I'm proud to have her as a friend.
Dude, to be able to take a nap, only means you don't have kids keeping you up. Think about, when being single you could take naps. But for 17 years, that was out of the question for me. Now If I feel I need a nap. I go for it. Notice how late Judy is online, She is very active.
The moderators blow chunks. They allow personal attacks. The whole site was nothing but wars. So we brought about 30 of us over here. Much nicer. the mods seem to be on top of things here.
Wow, gang...a gal takes the afternoon off and returns to this wonderful, wonderful welcome. I sure hope I can live up to all your great expectations of me....I think I can.....I think I can....I think I can. (Well, I DO have a past that included nursery rhymes!)
The title of my thread? I was told to choose something catchy...Guess they were right. (The WHAT was really just to write something about myself, simple as that.)
Statement to all....NO, taking a nap absolutely doesn't mean you are OLD. You don't even have to admit to anyone that you do! But, if ya want to stay up half the nite, sometimes a nap is necessary. I have friends in many different countries...Europe, Australia, China and Hawaii just keep me on a merry-go-round and I hate to miss their calls.
That list will be growing, I know. In perusing the profiles, I have found so many of you from so many countries that I have visited, that I am sure I will touch base with you....Germany, Spain, Peru, India, Israel, England, Gomera and so many more. If I try to click back to see them, I am SURE I will lose this post....been there and done that..
BND & ICE....yup...great friends....AND, whenever the going gets rough in some of the forums, they both have my back...Thanks...I love you both and am so happy for ya. You inspire me!!!!
If I have any suggestion for the newcomers, EXPLORE, EXPLORE, EXPLORE. And, add to any posts that interest you. Don't forget the "Older Set" either......Remember, those who read your writings will know more about who you REALLY are than anything you can say yourself. You can say what you think, how you feel ...and disagree with others. The main thing to remember is to be polite and respectful.
Oh yes, and divide your words into paragraphs every 6 lines or so. It makes it soooo much easier to read. (The Editor in me has just made this announcement.)
Thanks again, everyone. after I do my dinner dishes and take out the garbage, I'll attempt another blog. I'm working on the one from Sleep Away Camp.
I just want you to know that my fun here on CS is continuing to grow. I just finished a tag team chocolate pudding wrestling match and if you're interested in a few laughs, pull up the thread and enjoy. It's dated August 17.
At least you'll know why I don't seem to get any time to do any more Blogs. But, I promise I will....adventures are piling up daily!!!. My life is NOT dull.
Thank you Judy. You are truely a sweetheart and a barrel of laughs. You are my Hero My next trip to Florida we definitely need to go have some drinks on the town.
You are a classy lady indeed and I can learn a lot from you!
