Iraq was a Goldmine for the Americans, Unlike what people are made to believe ,Iraq did not burn the hole in American pockets . actually Iraq has provided an unparalleled opportunity for American industry . Billions of dollars worth of contracts landed there. All sort of supplies to NATO was a huge business as well . I could say the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have certainly helped the US Industries to pass bad patch of economy . Not to mention about the Oil security they have obtained and the advantage of eliminating a voice who urged to sell Oil in Euro . What if they destroyed millions of lives and families and fabric of a culture .
This is the truth . Every country weigh its commercial gain before committing to the war crime . The leaders of the warmongering nations have already realized the benefits of killing people in another country and take home billions worth contracts of rebuilding what they themselves have destroyed. and the amount of jobs they can create in their own country for supplying arms , material and sustaining the puppet governments in the conquered countries None of the are angels , Those who want to invade Lybia and kill Gadaffi are as crime oriented as Gaddaffi himself. or any dictator else for that matter .
War is a big money business . "Protecting human rights and democracy" are just ploys to start a war. Participating in a war is a business decision . It would have appeared to the Germans that the war is not going to be profitable . Its that simple .
Lybians have two choices left if the war on Libya come true . Either killed by the forces of Gaddaffi or being killed by the forces of US and surrender their resources and land to them. I guess the first one is a more honorable one.

No war is won with military hardwares .You dont need a crystal ball to see the shape of things to come .You have lessons aplenty in the history . With all the monstrous resource advantage US is slipping into defeat in Afghanistan and there is no end in sight for a decent exit . Not to mention the horrible human right conditions of the people caught in between the waring fanatic warmongers there .You are correct Iraq is different from Afghan and Libya will be different as well but the human pain and suffering will remain the same .
I believe initiating a military action against Qaddafi will be counter productive . This will certainly going to swing against the western interest and will be beneficial for Qaddafi . We have lessons of failures in Iraq and Afghanistan in front of the world . This will be a long drawn war than a swift solution as assumed . Alquida will get a bunch of sitting ducts in Libya if at all the Gaddafi is replaced and will target the occupational forces with the help of mercenaries from Africa . Secondly the very intention of the war is not clear . Is it to liberate the people of Libya ? Or just to lay hands on the oil reserve ? . I dont see any military action against Bahrain where more than 100 people were killed in a few days time . So the Human right angle is just a ploy to invade another country .The proposed war will put the world into another bout of recession and push Libya to a civil war where 1000s of innocents will be killed more than Gadaffi could possibly have killed .
Why to updates about Baharin ? . There is a pictched battle going on the streets where in the Shia's are fighting for freedom . Many have believed to be killed ? . Why no propagadists shed their crocodile tears for them ? Becasue the ruling Bahrin authority is a US ally ? .
I recollect a famous quote from JRD TATA , a prominent industrialist from India on India being a super power , he said " I don,t want India to be a superpower, I want India to be a Happy country". I appreciate the vision in his statement . It doesn't matter if you are a superpower or not as long as your people are not happy and not taken care of
A country receiving Aid has nothing to do with its culture . If you look at the statics for the last 5 years , millions of people have been uplifted from the Poverty . Its a feat you dont see anywhere , However I personally feel that much needs to be done to translate Indian success into more meaningful programs for its own people . I attribute this to the corruption in the political structure than anything else . I dont think if the so called Aid stopped tomorrow , nothing is going to happen here . I think aid should be stopped and should be diverted to more needy countries .
Though India has big Military and sophisticated hardwares , Its highly unlikely that India could be a Military super power due to various factors . However its for sure that India has already emerged as a economic and technology super power. Unlike yesteryears I can see the innovation and research are growing in an exponential rates .Indian designed cars and machineries are far more advanced than their European/Japanese/US counter parts with very less cost . India has made huge strides in Agriculture and IT fields, Aerospace ,Medical research fields as well . But what one must see is how that is going to help t poor and needy in this country .India will remain the most paradoxical nation in the history , Poor and rich at the same time , advanced and backward at the same time.
Very interesting , The fact remains that none care for human rights. While criticizing Libya , US drones have killed a scores of innocents yesterday in Pakistan . last ween many Afghan boys were shot dead by US helicopters . Nobody is a champion of Human rights .Every body resorts to one or the other tactics to target a particular religion or race which are not desirable to the interests of majorities, It happen everywhere .The sudden interests of the western nations on the Muslims uprising- Till yesterday people blanketly called them terrorists is nothing but for the greed of oil . They want their puppet governments to be installed there as they fear the access to this precious resource will be limited if they form a true democratic governments there.
