In 1959 I was dating my husband. Back then it was custom to dress up on Sunday for your date. On this particular day I wore a dress and high heels and he wore a suit and tie.
We decided to go to the Statute of Liberty and took part in the climb with others up to the top where the eyes are so you could look out to a wonderful view.
The stairs are circular and very narrow and it was ungodly hot in there. Thank goodness I was skinny cause I never would have made it up all those steps. I don't think you can climb those stairs anymore
In 2008 I went to the Statute of Liberty Island with someone that was out of state. It was the only icon he wanted to see.
If you get to New York or New Jersey go see Lady Liberty. You can walk around the island and the gift shop.
P.S. There is a boat that will take you from New Jersey to the island.
Love is caring more about someone else then you care about yourself. Not to be misconstrued....I don't mean not taking care of yourself. Love is generosity, tenderness, helpfulness, listening and not just hearing him, guiding him when he wants help. The list goes on ...
I tried to view Reb56 to tell him about a football movie coming to tv but I couldn't get through because his setting is that he will only receive mail from men. I think that's a mistake because his profile says his search is for women.
I'm logging off soon. If he comes on would someone tell him about his settings. The way it is now women can't send him email.
Drink some milk right out of the fridge. There's something in milk that always helps me to sleep. Go on....go to the kitchen and chug it right out of the bottle
You, the OP, mentions money several times in your profile. And judging from your posts it appears you are afraid that women who date you are gold diggers.
True, there are gold diggers but they should be easily recognized.
I met three men on this site.
One had tons of money but he also had a very colorful background that included a federal prison
Another one didn't have a pot to go in but in was really good in other ways. Problem was, he wanted to get married and I didn't.
The third one is my last ex. I will not post dirty laundry in public so I'll leave it there.
My point is, I'm not a gold digger but I could have had anything I wanted if I stayed with the felon
RE: 180 miles between us - a too long distance for a true love?
I wouldn't say that 180 miles is too long for a relationship. My last relationship was 700 miles between us. In truth the miles were a problem because we couldn't iron out problems in person.
