Interesting what "deafpower" says about English being a second language for deaf people. Brilliant in various ways.
May I take his analogy even further to say that English is a second language after silence for people that say English is their first language - or for any language for that matter? So for him it would be silence first, ASL second and English 3rd.
And I think personally that a sign language should be an international language that everyone gets to learn at a young age. The human voice is definitely completely overrated.
noo! there was only one comment, but that makes a discussion started (one poll poster and one respondent) therefore you = among the intelligent, get it?
Very nice contribution to this discussion... La Gioconde with a ...what kind of dog is that...? Well a dog anyway. ...food for thought. I'm here to learn... hey everyone... contribute if you can!!! get this intelligent discussion going !!
I have only just looked up and discovered the famous UK roaster... "Delicious Yorkshire puddings..." well I have quite a ways to go before I get to that level (pretty scarey, no?) it's true; compared to me the Brits are culinary whizzes!! but i still like food AND i say it pretty much takes care of itself you just gotta throw it in the oven
The job is done! The consensus is there is no consensus so I've HALF-peeled, & sliced up & thrown said (towel dried) potatoes (mix of red, white and orange/sweet) in the oven with one giant red onion between, smoothed over in vegetable oil, dashed allover a personal mixture of spices and they are right now going at it and it smells amazing. But these other recipes I am promising myself to one day try. MMmmm! Oh, what kind of cheese do we have in the fridge though... (oh, and there's an apple pie in there too...on its own of course!)
Oh, neither does mine (at least I don't think it does). I only included those choices so women would have an option to select (a bit heterocentric I suppose), but suits us both fine at least?
Once I lost an entire plane ticket because they wouldn't refund me for changing airlines ($800+) after I was forced to change companies because one of the customs staffers was kicking dog cages (and my dog was in a cage just about to be loaded beside it) I had to change to a company that would let me board the dog with me on the plane (it was carriable) so $25 would have been a great fee for my pains
Well thank God I can vote - otherwise at this point it would be 100% not-even-if-i-were-a-man (as if you would know anything about what that felt like, duh)
Well the important thing I gather from all this is that you ...seem to truly have travelled and really been here so the verdict is... maybe you're not just there for teas, and thus your compliment is appreciated. You may now make your way to the poll booth please and choose between one of the first three options. Thank you for flying Air,...er km, I mean, yeah.
