All the more reason to take advantage of the minimal light available during the winter months, besides, there are plenty of "after dark" activities to keep us occupied .
That's the good thing about England .. We rarely experience those unbearably uncomfortable nights, when the humidity keeps us from a good nights sleep, whatever the season.
Arancuni is another great treat.. If you have any left over risotto, roll up into balls & coat in breadcrumbs ., deep fry until golden . A little garnish of salad & sweet pepper sauce makes a lovely treat... Very popular with vegetarians .
Try making gnocchi .. Just mix mashed potato with eggs & flour until it becomes a pasta like consistency .. Season & roll, then chop & boil until the gnocchi rises to the top.. Similar to cooking pasta. Great a compliment to pesto.
