I am also finding things at TED.com that are informative and mind boggling. If you ever wonderied how powerful computers are these days, one need only visit this site to see whats going on (above the surface of course)

theres one on david icke's site, about water polution much like the one I posted but contains more stuff, including the thing about fish and other species changing because of oestregen levels .. I dont have it anymore ...but thats a good place to look.

oh I spend a lot of my available time on wiki and wikileaks, including god stuff.

you know what I dont like about wiki, is there are usually about 20 hyperlinks in every paragraph, so you can access content or explantions of those words. By the the time I've chased a few of those hyperlinks, and then hyperlinks of those hyperlinks, I've totally lost the original reason for going there but i always learn something new!!!

the first step is however to set religion aside, that is much like setting aside nationality, setting aside our gender squabbles because neither has pertinent influence on us progressing as a species. We are first and foremost human. Gender, religion and nationality are trappings that if focused on do keep us separated.

I'm not sure there's a god, I have no proof, but I do have proof of the connection between us all and maybe thats god, I dont know.

brow beating and scolding is premise taught by religion I am afraid, another conditioning. When I was in catholic school and very young we had to pass a protestant school down the road and we we taught that they were sinners, in the wrong, that we were the saved and the righteous .. blah blah blah ... it is little wonder that that conditioning pervades religious debates.

That 'facts' are ignored in favour of 'belonging' to a religion is a mental limitation encouraged by religious leaders.

we somehow mix our need to be social interactive creatures in with our need to feel connected to a higher being -and that just doesn't work, unless we all head for the same place to find solitude and be quiet there with whatever sense of god we have, en masse.

indeed, as I said the Pope and his cronies are the remnants roman empire, history proves it as does their tactics of control.

but the jesus thing is ummmm well its just a lot of bunk actually, brought to us by a bible full of contradiction, false prophecy and some down right sickening stuff.

I'm not against people being good or doing pious things. My only complaint really about jesus is that we don't need him or anyone esle to be good in and of ourselves.

The fact that people can't reach inside themselves to find good is very disturbing. It points to a society conditioned to beleive they are hopeless without anothers stamp of approval. Self esteem is exactly that. The moment you assess your self esteem based on anothers life you become subject to that life, not to your own.

If anyone needs to see jesus in their mind in order to feel god's pesence, or feel connected, then by all means do so. JMHO; but the fact that so many people can feel this presence without involing jesus should be telling to most.

In fact in meditation which is essentially prayer, words that are often used are that have the same phonetics as god ... I won't go through them all; point is the need to feel connected has been stolen by religions, they've taken it away from you. Youre right to taste the presence of god, the spirit, the connection, whatever you want to call it, has been hi-jacked by the power mongers of greed.

When we finally realize that we can touch god without some idiot holding a cross and spouting guilt and forgiveness, you come to realize that you are more free than you have ever thought you were. You no longer need to tithe a church, you can walk outside and help someone single handedly with your offering to god, without supporting a church that builds gold adorned manuments to themselves thanks to your money. When you think about it, I think you'll agree, because it just makes sense.

these guys actually have the audacity to consider themselves THE holy messengers of god!! How do they sleep at night? And it's not just the catholic church, you can go to any religion's website and find the same abhorations of hipocracy and deception, fed with guilt.

The Roman Catholic Church IS the reminants of the Roman Empire, totally political, totally based in law and rule of others. The empire never really fell, it just morphed.

It works for them, so why would they stop.
