Yes most people can the basics. It and other communication skills r taught at uni, for those that need the assurance that what they deduct from a tone of voice anywhere, is accurate. Mainly it is just instinctive.

Well:- No. 1:- I met my soulmate and best friend on a local site like this here by me No. 2:- I met a real friend on this site, and we r moving towards good friends, it has been a couple of years now.
So yes, If u put real effort in, things might just happen !!!

Not quite. It whiles away the excess time, but physical talking is better, with the actual person with u, on the telephone, it's like a dummy, till later, when u see them.
There r so many of them nowadays, where most people can do at least some programming, that they r a high percentage in the job market, as most things r computer based one way or another !
So definitely no sub gods there, just another job !
I'm referring to past experiences. I dont exactly drink so alcohol does not help me, but I know most people use this temporary cure, till u wake up, remember, and then need the cure immediately again, and so it continues !
When I started in computers, I did the normal studies, but when I went to my 1st job, I learnt on the job, as their systems were different, and that gave me the base for the last 33 years of confidence, and excellence.
Hi. I had the same reaction as u before. But some people find ways and means with a big mouth. If u can c thru the bs u realise its a blank and all pretence.
