Do legitimate relationships stem from sites like this one? (9)
JamesRobo: So I'm completely new at this whole internet date site thing. I've been single for a VERY long time. Raising kids alone, job, standards for what I'm expecting but haven't found in anyone thus far) All I've heard is horror stories about attempting such a feat as meeting someone who is real & who they turn out to be later. So it makes me wonder: do legitimate relationships happen as a result of sites like this one? I'm talking, two ppl meeting, talking at first, then texting, then it becomes a real relationship after its been established that both ppl are who they portray themselves to be? They actually make one on one contact & begin their journey together? Do they actually become a real life couple as if they had met in day to day life?
I'm asking because I want to know if these things happen (successfully) or are sites like these a waste of time? I'm genuinely interested in feedback on this. Thanks.

Yes that can, and does happen.
But both people have to be realistic from the beginning.
Don't chat to someone from Thailand unless you are willing to move to Thailand, or even the other side of your own country if it is unrealistic.
Sorry for taking the less romantic side, I'm sure somebody will give you the whole flowers and chocolate version too

No. 1:- I met my soulmate and best friend on a local site like this here by me
No. 2:- I met a real friend on this site, and we r moving towards good friends, it has been a couple of years now.
So yes, If u put real effort in, things might just happen !!!

ok , if you are able to find people here that are in your area and you can meet them face to face it could be a chance. BUT so far , what I have seen there are many scammers. How can you trust someone that is far away? How should that work out. Those questions you must answer for yourself. I find it worthless if one is sitting inside the USA to even talk to someone that is in a different Countrie. I believe men get ripped off by women just like the other way around. So never give a dime to anyone. That is always a red flag, Asking for phone cards or money or to trasnfer money or want to send something to you. Never do that. Before you met a person face to face and get to know them and you can spend time with the person ...careful!
