Antagonisim unleashed

Its easy to find yourself riled abit when someone says something assenine.... I know I do, and sometimes regret what I said. The easiest way to keep the site free from those who would look to destroy peoples joys in its use, is to not respond to them at all in the forums. Most effectively done through a group conscencious, but who wants to be come a judge and jury in a forum that is dedicated to the free speech. Everyone would be wise to use their own discretion, but surely be aware that this forum is your community and it only exists in the atmosphere that the members wish to reside. Some persons derive pleasure from someone elses pain, its unfortunate but true. Anyway, thats what I mean by censorship.

To the members of CS...... there are a number of posts concerning everyone that could threaten the serenity you have enjoyed here in building up this site. If it continues, you will begin to lose members by persons looking to sabotage the forums in order to gain satifaction from their disruptive behaviors.
If you take away the power of a persons voice, they lose power altogether..... think about it, its hard to argue with someone in an empty room.......

Truthfulness???? Having Faith... How truthful can you be???

In response to Hillbillyhoneys thread about faith in what people write on internet dating sites..... how truthful can you be.... State the action/incident/occurance you performed in your adult life you are most proud of, and then likewise least proud of.... don't state one without the other....... that should rattle some skeletons in the closet!

RE: candidate says ok to smoke pot???

That evening when I got home, I found a note on the kitchen table from my uncle, which said..."your grandmother isn't feeling well, the doctor was here, keep an eye on her". You see I lived with my grandmother at the time, and the news distressed me something terrible, as my grandmother was also my best friend, and added to it the effects of the brownies, suddenly what was a wonderful day, unexpectedly began to worsen. Add to it, the fact that, when I last saw her in the morning, she was doing fine, but that is the way of old age, you just never know when your health will suddenly turn.
I looked in on her, and she was sleeping soundly, so I turned my attention to getting the rest of my brownies cut up and frozen in individual 1 1/2 inch portions, as they last forever in the freezer. I went to the living room to retrieve the pan from beneath the sofa. When I reached underneath I could not feel the pan, so I got a flashlight to see what I was doing. When I looked under the sofa with the light, I found no pan. My heart stopped momentarily, and a wave of emotion made its way down my body, rushing from head to toe. Quickly heading back out to the kitchen, I paused and opened the garbage container in the kitchen to see if I had mistakenly threw the pan out, or if someone else had. No brownies.... I made my way into the pantry, and there I could see the side of the pan sitting just below the shelf, sandwiched tightly between the shelf and the top of the breadbox.... "Darn" I said, "that was stupid, I thought I put these under the sofa". Just as I was about to remove the pan, there was a knock at the back door. When I went to the door it was the next door neighbor checking to see how my grandmother was doing, "Fine" I said, "sleeping soundly". So she left, and I returned to the pantry to start cutting up the rest of the brownies. When I pulled the pan out from under the shelf, revealing the contents in the pan, my heart stopped again, this time alittle longer, and an even larger wave of emotion rushed down my body.....
Half of the pan was empty..... I held on to the side of the counter and grabbed my chest in awe of the sight...."Oh my God!!!" I said, feeling my knees buckling beneath me.
I went right into my grandmothers room and tried to wake her up, but she wouldn't wake up..... so I got more aggressive, and tried yet alittle harder, till finally she began to stir. When she opened her eyes they were as red as tomatoes, and she could barely move her mouth to speak any words..... "Grandma, what happened" I said, as I felt the first tears begin to roll down my face.... "I don't know" she said...."I was visiting with Rose".... "Rose!!" I said.... "Yes" she said, "we were having a good time, when everything just went black"...........
Now I don't know how many of you have ever experienced to opposite emotions at the same time, but its has only happened to me twice in my entire life.... that is, laughing and crying at the same time. Tears streaming down my face, I couldn't help but laugh hysterically at the story of her and her best friend eating all those brownies.......
As far as the rest of the night went, I kept my grandmother awake, and she gradually regained all of her senses by morning.... I never did breath a single word of what happened, to her nor anyone else, till long after she passed on about ten years later.... and as for Rose, I never did find out her story, I just know I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw her getting out of her car, one day, about two weeks after the incident.....the moral of the story....never assume you have taken all the precautions necessary to protect those around you, especially when it comes to something you shouldn't have or be doing in the first place....and oh, by the way...my second laughing and crying incident happened some years later, when I recieved a letter telling me my mortgage was paid off 12 years prior to its termination....but thats yet another story....cheers! wine

RE: candidate says ok to smoke pot???

Back in the eighty's, I made a pan of pot brownies with some really good cleaned weed. I cut three pieces about 1 1/2 inches square, shared with two friends of mine, stashed the rest of the 9x11 pan under the living room sofa, and went canoeing in New Hampshire for the day. We laughed continuously all day long, in roller coaster fashion, as we were having so much fun, in what was one of the best daytime experiences of my life. But that was the daytime.....

RE: Latest on the war against terrorism.

I'm not an advocate of violence, but sometimes there isn't much choice, and you have to fight fire with fire. So, here is my approach to the problem....
I think the best course of action would be to secretly attach a large rocket to a large asteroid, steer it toward the earth, and time it perfectly, that when the rocket disengaged, the asteroid would fall squarely on the mountains seperating Afghanistan, and Pakistan, leveling them, and thereby elieviating blame on anyone for an "act of God". It might even be prudent to have astronomers warn of the impending doom prior to impact, with plenty of time so that innocent persons could escape, and then be waiting in the foothills to capture the terrorists as they vacate the hills...... be a great movie, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the input.... well whatever happens, I certainly hope the choice is made that will overall benefit the country, that is my main concern... finally, I appreciate your closing remark....

Clinton for President

Well let me just say if I am biased, at least I am in a positive way. You can not read any wild accusations or suppositions in any of my comments. I never said Obama was not a good choice, in fact I said the contrary. I don't think, right now, he has the qualifications to qwell the problems in the middle east..... and I could very well be wrong, but I doubt it.
It is going to take some major diplomacy to get the wasps back into the nest, and bring stability to the middle east.
Once again in this post you furnish the reader with unsupported statements about Hillary, and even about the former Clinton administration, biased again in nature, negative again, and hearsay again....
Incidently, if I wound you with my comments regarding your written comments, it is basically to point out the invalidity of your unsupported accusations, not as a personal attack on you. The term biased is a term that does have a certain amount of personal inference, however was not intended to be directed toward you, but rather the intended direction of your written remarks. Politics can be somewhat inflammatory, ask any bar owner. I am sorry if I ruffled your feathers.

The inferred post that you commented on was mistakingly drawn against your remarks. It was the person you had referenced in your comments that my response was intented. By no means did I intend the comment to be directed toward you, I had simply made the mistake of not paging up to his response before I replied.... please accept my humble apology

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

Our country never won a conflict after 1945.... before that we won a few. Right now though, we are not very high in the standings, and might not make the playoffs

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

I stand corrected....maybe what he actually said was "the only good indian is a fed indian" meaning that if they were fed, they were content, and no trouble..... dunno

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

I've never seen a buffalo with wings.....but I can imagine it, especially flying through the air angel

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

Great post!

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

Sheridan was quoted as saying "the only good indian is a dead indian"

RE: Do you have a gun in your home

Theres a new invention here in America..... invented by gang members....its called a home invasion, it can be quite violent, and many people dont live through it..... thats why.

RE: IS 'HEAVEN' OTHER PEOPLE?

The energy force you speak of has a dark side as well, what are your feelings toward it?

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

What do you mean "now we see the yellow?"

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

America, the land off the free. it has always being operating an imperialistic agenda. at one time, and we followed, now we see the yellow. man it now does not have the clout it had. Fighting on to many fronts, to prove what, that it can still be the great amercian dream? great country, keep it at home.

Is this what you were trying to say?

Clinton for President

She was simply asked by a woman....."How are you holding up, Hillary?"
The question is not one that any candidate would WANT to cry at, after all you WANT to show you can hang under the pressure. It was more of a woman to woman concern showed by a voter, that was more personal than "where do you stand on ......." questions she had been fielding every day. Maybe it was a sense of humanity over someone being concerned about her as a person that caused her to cry...anyway it was only a couple of tears.... so whats the big deal about it... has everyone forgotton that people have emotions, that they are particularly suseptible to showing when you are tired...... geez get off it!

Clinton for President

Isn't it nice to know, that while this is a singles line, and you may meet someone that might become very special to you, that she can look back at your posted comments in the forums, and see the wonderful one you just posted..... its a permenant record of your psychy....enjoy!

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

I assure you, that this is not the first time a president got caught in a compromising position. The sensational new age of journalism is making everyone a target, just to get readers. In days past the press took respondsiblity to portrait public officials, in particular the president in a favorable light. The reflections cast, and image portrayed are important parts of the political process, not only for support of domestic policies, but global as well. His indiscretion should never have hit the news any more than anyone elses.....

RE: Accept The American Way, Or Face The Consequences!

There was an investigation and recount in the elections in Florida, and Bush won the election. For you to say otherwise, blah blah blah, is nothing more than heresay, which has no merit whatsoever, and is just biased retoric.... Secondly, your idea of staging a coup is laughable, as I am sure you would be the first one at your parlimentary door to take over after an election didn't go your way either....get real. Since the merits of your post already show the signs of bias, I totally resent your comments regarding the motives of Americans.... if you want to take shots at us fine, but land those blows on the right target. You wouldn't want me to group you in negatively as a person who supports policies that you don't agree with via your government, so be respectful here as well. By the way your"experience" through your fathers oil business does not make you informed of global issues just because you got to ride your bicycle in alot of differant countries.
