LeRoi Moore, the saxophone and clarinet virtuoso of the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday afternoon stemming from injuries he had suffered after an ATV accident in June. He was famously known for his live on stage solos with DMB since it was formed in 1990. Fans at the band's Los Angeles show continuously chanting LeRoi's name. Right about now, LeRoi is jamming with John Lennon, Janice Joplin, Elvis, and Isaac Hayes.
My heart and prayers goes out to therest of the band, and to LeRoi's family. God rest is soul!
Thank you so much for all your compliments! You have no idea how happy that makes me feel, to be appreciated for my talents. But, it's only the beginning, alot more celebrations are coming up. You can also see my work on my website, Bart Mauceri Photography at;
FYI: Three of my photos are ecards here on CS. Just look for the titles...
"Ghost Lighthouse" A photo of Connecticut's Black Rock Harbor Lighthouse, shrouded in fog with its reflection on a nearby pond. " Infinity" A photo of a North Carolina beach giving it the illusion that the coastline never ends. "The Shining Beacon" Photo of Martha's Vineyard's Gay Head Lighthouse with its red beacon flashing over the cloudy horizon.
Over the weekend, while going through my emails, I clicked on one from the Mooresville Artist Guild, ( which I'm a member of) announcing that I've been named April's Artist of the Month. At first, I was imagining it and needed a coffee fix. So After having my breakfast and my coffee, I read the message again, and called the woman who announced it, and it has been confirmed...I am officially the Artist Guild's Artist of the Month for April. I was surprised, and yet very honored. She told me it was for my involvement with Artist Guild, and in the art community. In a few days, some my photography will be displaying on the Guild's website. And here is the site address...
