I have never given less than a 6 I think and even the 6 was by accident. If I don't find the photo attractive (TO ME) I give it a 7 only so they don't contact me. Sometimes though..there is like a 65 year old woman...and I think oh man..she is soo beautiful..especially for 65! She deserves a 10! but I don;t want a 65 year old girlfriend so I give her a 7....I am rambling aren't I?
Someone introduced me to the concept(s) of metaphysics and books like "The Secret" have this belief more widely understood. Frankly, while parts of it make sense to me (ie. the placebo effect) I am not sure about most of it. Here's the rub, believing it or not, while I practice the principles and exercises I have read about, I am a MUCH more optimistic and inspired being.
Marx said something about religion being the opiate of the masses. I used that saying as a young person to stay in judgement of my parents/sisters and their faith. Meanwhile I was out drinking like a fish. What if religion really is just the opiate of the masses? Look how much good it has done with most of the heroes (missionaries and the like) unsung. And what about the great benefits of community and fellowship the belief in God creates.
Militant atheists crack me up. I always get this vision in my head of us being ants on the pavement and God being a guy in boots. The atheist on the sidewalk looking up shaking his hand at the guy in work books denying his existence. >SQUISH<

I assumed nothing. I specifically said, based on what you have written alone. There are obviously more details. I stand by my statement. No parent should deprive their child of their time for something as trivial is money no matter the amount. If you are lucky enough to have children one day you will have a better handle on it.
My wife left me and our 3 kids. While I would say I fought for custody in the divorce it really was not much of a fight. In my 42 years I have never witnessed that kind of unbridled selfishness. So when I see a woman's profile that under the children question reads - Yes and they don't live with me....alarms go off. Am I wrong for passing them up?
I never felt the need to change anyone....I either take them as they are or move on...although...I ask for directions, never complain when I am sick if I will even admit it, and put the toilet seat down. Other than that I am a damn Neanderthal.
