There is an old joke about the Polish/Italian soccer match. It starts to rain and the Italians, not wanted to get wet, leave the field. 15 minutes later the Poles score.
OBVIOUSLY everyone knows Polish people are not stupid or bad soccer players so don't even go there...it is a joke... or in this case...an analogy.
With the Dems controlling house and senate...Obama has the ball, an army of teammates and not a defender in site.
Progressives/Liberals who are systematically dismantling our military, thinking they know more than our military commanders, belittling our fighting men and women, outing our intelligence agents, and being so incredibly naive in thinking they can have a lovely cup tea and mend fences with people that want us slaughtered so badly they will commit suicide to effect their goal.
It is not a matter of punishing..it is a matter of free will.
The atheist says, after something like Katrina, where is God in all this, when we have systematically cast god from our lives, our schools, our public building...etc..
Why not squeeze the expenses out first to prove it can be done? There are so many obvious responses to these proposals...how can you trust a guy that won't consider them? There is more at stake here than just the health care system. Our economy for one.
It hardly matters..I mean..the backlash from Bush's failure was so severe we elected an inexperienced extremist that did not even win his senate race. Obama is already at a pace where people will be wishing Bush could get a third term
The republican party is leaderless. Not sure I would broad stroke the old ideologies thing in such a way but I can see merits to that argument. I would simply say there are extremists on both sides. I would also argue maybe by so many republicans, like myself, becoming more decisively libertarian the republican party is losing its identity.
