Are you terrified of the expectations placed upon yourself or the expectations that you place on him...or are you just terrified in general? In any sense...best of luck!
This poem reminds me of a poem by W.B. Yeats called:
When You Are Old
When you are old and grey and full of sleep, And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true, But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars, Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled And paced upon the mountains overhead And hid his face amid a crowd of stars. William Butler Yeats (1892)
"In time we hate that which we often fear." --William Shakespeare
"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." --Henry David Thoreau, Walden (1854) US Transcendentalist author (1817 - 1862)
"I am a part of all that I have met." --John Milton English poet (1608 - 1674)
