mbcasey: There are people here on CS who have been here a long time. Some have found love and are married while others have found love, but nothing has worked out. I applaud the ones who have found true love.
Some here have never found love and have been here for years.
Even newer members complain there isn't anyone around their area, or it hasn't happened yet...
Personally, I am frustrated as hell with the whole concept of internet dating.
Please share your frustration, anger, sadness if you feel this way.

That's very difficult Sweetowen. You and Doc know there is something there, but the inability to truly find out is very frustrating.

I had my first internet date around 1991.... and have had many since... the frustrating thing is finding one that will stay around long enough for a relationship.... Yes I know, it is me.

The only person that I have any control over is me. I am becoming a better person as time goes by. CS has played a role in that. I decided a while back that I would be quite happy with my life whether I found someone or not.

I think one needs perspective...my perception from what I read here is that the minority has success, which by default means that the majority of us end up either bored, or frustrated, or simply.... here....
Logic tells me the value of the following statements:
5 hours spent interfacing with people in the real world, is worth 5 days spent online...
5 days spent interacting with people in the real world, is worth more than 5 weeks chatting online..
1 date in the real world is worth more than 100 emails and flowers...
Flirting online is similair to m**turbation...it can be fun, but it's narcissistic and insular in nature...
Fact of the matter is, it's easier to log on, than it is to interface with another human being..
and people are lazy, so we log on before we pick up a phone...
...but we need to remember, the real world is out there, not in ....here..
