Arlene101: Awww thank you, I hear we are on the eight an tenth place in the world to visit. (Two different magazines). I haven't taken advantage of nearly of much of this Island as I should. I take it for granted which is a no no. I will visitthe fortrest of Louisbourg next year (15 minutes awy, how sad is that?) I love the ocean being all around me and the lakes and riers, etc., thank you again.
Myself, was there to hunt, and enjoy the wilderness area. Probably the point of view of my prejudice, and dislike of the hectic atmosphere of tourist destinations like Myrtle Beach. Of coarse I did have a good time there, when younger, and hunting split tails.

I will be back in a bit, I have been trying to get my mail all day and maybe I succeeded. E-Mail. See you all in a bit.
mbcasey: There are people here on CS who have been here a long time. Some have found love and are married while others have found love, but nothing has worked out. I applaud the ones who have found true love.
Some here have never found love and have been here for years.
Even newer members complain there isn't anyone around their area, or it hasn't happened yet...
Personally, I am frustrated as hell with the whole concept of internet dating.
Please share your frustration, anger, sadness if you feel this way.
Yep, frustrated, confused & on the verge of just giving up the search. Actually, I've decided that if I haven't achieved a boyfriend by my birthday, then I'll be pulling all my profiles and deciding I'll be alone the rest of my life.
I'm frustrated & confused by the fact that I'm damn good & have a lot to offer, yet any man that I find interesting refuse to give me the time of day. And the few that I have met, and felt an attraction to, are either unwilling, or unable to actually commit to a relationship.

It is frustrating. But we just have to try and remember that the people that do find exactly what they want are few and far between. I just think finding a mate is not an exact science. There is a lot of disappointment involved.
laura225: Many people around here are saying the same thing about POF - thinking of joining it too.
Since joining CS last Spring, besides having fun, I've learnt a lot about people, which is of a great value to me - I've always been kind of sheltered from the outside world.
Even thought CS didn't serve the purpose I joined it for, I am glad I did anyways.
Uumm...I'm at POF too, and not getting much in the way of serious action over there. I get the same as here, no response to emails sent out, no commitment to meet from the ones I do hear from.

The thing I find POF good for is that I believe there are far more local people that live closer to me. CS is mainly people who live far, far away.

Ouch!!
Why you have to make such a decision? If going 'no-where' frustrates and upsets you, you don't have to search actively.
But wouldn't it be a better alternative (as oppose to giving up) if you just relax and be open to letting things happen?
Keeping your profile might allow you 'to be found'.
