The forums are good, don´t get me wrong, but we all seem to become friends, or like brothers and sisters afer a period of time, and that romantic interest disappears, despite the half-hearted flirting which goes on.

I mostly agree with you. I have only been on one date and that was with someone that never posted.
And friendships are made, and fun is had which is no bad thing in itself........
All I can add really is that a lot of people read the forums without posting and form opinions on people in there and can be contacted because of it....It has happened to me.........
Hope its warmer there now..........I came back on Wed and it was bloody freezin.........

All of the men that I do like in the forums live too far away. The few members I have dated weren't on the forums, well one posted ocassionally anyway. But those didn't work out either.

Jan I agree with what you say.I've never been on a dating site cause I found my late husband in RL.Altho I'm not looking at the moment I have made some friends on here and chat quite often with them.If one of those friendships should develope into something more it's fine if not at least I'll still have them as friends.

well on numbers alone -the forum has a smidge of the folks on the site
i correspond w/ members that arent in forums and yes-they date
its a tightrope walk any way ya play it i think
but some do meet and its always a learning experience
