RE: hi chatters

Ya you never know, this is pretty much a chat site, guess ya just need ta find yer click, its certainly a click here, and I have not fit in to one as of yet, which is fine, not really sure I'd want to as of yet.
I'll keep trying though, for a while anyway, if nothing comes about no problem, I am not that bad off, this is just an easy social alternative, i really was hoping to find people local to meet, seems everyone is in another Country though, not to local.
Also I see alot plastic people, afraid to say it like it is, so typical, whatever, I say be real, guess its not in these days, maybe I am off, I thought truth was good, being real etc..
I must be old, is 39 old ?
Why have I put you through this, sorry, I am tired, I'm going to sleep, good night..................

RE: What kind of work do you do

Thats Docks & Piers not Ciers

RE: What kind of work do you do

I work for the City of Long Beach.
I work on the Docks & Cier crew.
What we do, we take care of rebuilding repairing all the docks And piers where the container ships dock at.
Basicly what we do is drive telephone poles into the ocean, only upside down so it wedges itself in to the floor of the ocean.
Then we do whats called framing it into the breaker, using a logging chaing saw.
Alot of times we have to replace the breakers, these are the horizontal timbers, 6x10/6x12's.
We have whats called staging, which is a work plat form that hangs over the ocean.
I operate cranes, drive the piling truck that carries the piles ( telephone poles ), I am in the process of getting certified as a small telescopic crane operator, also have a class A Commercial truck drivers license with a tanker endorsement, also licensed as a General Contractor with the state of CA.
I just hooked up with the City about a year ago, so its pretty exciting, hard work & pretty dangerous work, not too much room for error, alot of cases it could be fatal.

RE: what state /province are you from?

Kissy,
I asked that for obvious reasons, your in Pocahontas, AR.
Not sure if you caught that.

RE: True Or False & Why - If you love someone set them FREE if they return it is meant to be. If not it

Thats the way I would see it.

You have 1 hour to live, your giving 1 wish to wish for anything at all, whatever it may be, what wo

cutelildevilsmom, right on the money, exactly what I was thinking.
1 hour to live and 1 wish for anything, more wishes and then of course extend that hour or wish for imortality, and everytime you get down to the last wish wish for more wishes.

You have 1 hour to live, your giving 1 wish to wish for anything at all, whatever it may be, what wo

its suppose to be what "would you wish for" at the end of the title.
I don't know what happend.

You have 1 hour to live, your giving 1 wish to wish for anything at all, whatever it may be, what wo

I know what I'd wish for, its very simple.
It simply multiplies your chances!
So whats yer answer ?

RE: Hi

RE: where did you come up with your screenname?

They said it was live by the way.

RE: im drunk

RE: if u had a chance to make a wish come true what would it be for u? right now!

To have no more starvation in this world

RE: Serious thread...no joking...no laughter

This is an attempt to bring in the grouches in and show them fun, serious.
You have to say serious after everything you say here, that way we abide by the title, "serious Thread" serious.

RE: what your state or province is famous for

California,
Home of movies, Hollywood.
Weather, Can go surfing at the beach and take about an hour or so drive and get some snow sking in.
3rd largest cargo ports in the world, largest in the USA.
Earthquakes.
Space shuttle lands here.
# 1 traffic jams.

RE: Is There Really A God?

God gave us free will.
But certain things do happen that the highest priests can not explain.
Thats where faith is needed to kick over, thats why religions are here, to keep faith alive.
God is real, he's with us.
We as humans are not, for some reason able to comprehend his plan, or whatever it is, we simply have the choice to trust or to bust, its our choice, he trusted us with this, he had confidence in us to do the right thing.
Which most of us will, I feel.

RE: what state /province are you from?

So do you know where the story of Pocahontas is from ?

RE: Is There Really A God?

CFheck out thye article on the LA times, its a pretty incredible story.
I assure you Hollywood will get a hold of this.

RE: Is There Really A God?

Actually, I think I may have said that a tad bit wrong.
I appreciate things alot more and the small things that use to seem alot bigger don't do too much to me anymore. I let alot more roll of my back now than ever.
I don't have anything bad going on, I just meant the little annoying things are extremely less anoying.
I am sure I will be thrown a few more curve balls in my time, but I more and more realize everyone more or less deals with the same type stuff, and most of them get thru it, so I figure, I will as well.
I guess thats faith, no, I know thats faith.
Did you hear about the 2 kids lost at sea, I think off North Carolina coast, pretty sure thats correct.
They where like 13 and 15, one of them was talking of chopping his finger off to eat it he was so hungry.
They where a drift for like 6 an a half days, they talked about how they spoke to God, they asked each other why would God do this to us, do you think he will let us die like this, why would he let us suffer then let us die ?
Around the 6th evening they said they saw a shooting star that night, then in the morning saw dolphins jumping in and out of the water next to them, then they saw a big rainbow and after that a fishing boat showed up and recued them.
Its much better to read the story, its without a doubt a tear jerker and it was in the news paper.
I think you may want to read this story, I know it was in the L.A. Times today, 5-3-05, you can go to latimes.com and I am sure find it there.
The point to you from me is, look at what these Kids went through and hung on to faith and made it, read the story, you will find it very incredible.
Its very possible to be ok through this.

RE: Quotes for a whole month.

Damn Dog, thats overwhelming.
My quote for all months:
Trust in God, Play the lotto, show up to work, do the best you can there until you hit them winning numbers and then thank the Lord, and after that use some of the money to do some good in this world, like help hungry people.

RE: welcome me :D

Well very good, and good luck to you.
I think the Irish bring good luck, its that 4 leaf clover thing.
Hey if he has any sisters in the 30's age range let me know, hahaha.

RE: welcome me :D

Hey whats up boxgrl, did ya find yer Irish Man yet?

RE: what state /province are you from?

acurangel, that was funny, I'm not saying its funny yer single, but the response, I thought was kind of funny.
Me, myself am in Long Beach, California, home of the US's largest cargo ports, 3rd largest in the world.
Home of the Long Beach Grand Prix.
I live 10 blocks from the ocean.
I originally was born in Torrance, CA, very close by, about 10 miles.
Its not the easiest place to live in the world, but it surely has some benifits, weather is the big one.
I am glad I don't have to drive the freeways to work anymore, appears we have some wild west wanna be's shooting people on our freeways lately, yesterday was the 6th in like 2 weeks.
Theres too damn many people here, which creates alot more crime.
Possibly if you put it in perspective, its not as bad as it seems.
Or, I'm just use to bullets flying by me a few times a week, no I'm just kidding, its not that bad, its every other week, hahahaha, no really, its pretty mellow, just too many damn people.
I
I know one thing, I won't retire here, its too expensive.
Basic 2 bed house in a somewhat decent area, your looking at 500,000 +, condos included.
Thats why you other states hate us CA people coming there, we see your damn house prices and throw in a freaken tip.

RE: Runaway Bride

Hey whats up crazyboynva,
Yea, VA is a very awsome state, I know of James Town, been there, its the first settlement of the Eureopeans, not the first landing, first landing was Plymouth Rock, the Indians slaughtered everyone so they decided to go somewhere else.
Also James town is where the story of Pocahontas is from, back in the 1600's.
Yes, Wonderfull Williamsburg, spent a week there during Christmas about 6 years ago, I absolutely loved it.
Williamsburg, I believe is where Thomas Jefferson Wrote the original draft of the Constitution, then took it to PA where they changed alot of stuff, lots of harsh debating over the changes, T.J. took some offense to it, but they did it anyway, and PA I believe is where it was signed.
Ya, Williamsburg was cool, stories of Patrick Henery, ya know he was at first very much against the Revolution, it was like 3 or so years prior, but when he became convinced, watch out, "Give me Liberty or Give me Death !
I actually saw Patrick Henrys house, way out in the country, well thats most of VA, very beautifull.
Ya I lived right by Charlettesville airport, like a mile or 2 down from Green county, off interstate 29, know what 29 is named after, its named after a Confederate infantry, the 29th infantry, they marched this road to battle, not sure what exact battles, probably several.
I could go on and on, I love that place, I was there for the wrong reasons, or reasons that did not work out, ya, a Woman.
Ya I worked at Uva, Thomas Jefferson Built all of the old part, its very cool, walking thru some of the old part realizing T.J. once roamed these halls, and I am sure many other famous people.
Maybe some day I will return, I am sure I will visit, definitly Williamsburg, we saw Yorktown as well, where both wars where fought at, Civil/Revolution.
Also what I liked is DC was close by, I wouldn't want to live there but its cool to visit.
You live in a very awsome place, more people should truly appreciate what happend in that state, I wuld say it has one of the most significant and valued history of our becoming and growing of a Country, its amazing what these Men went through for us today.

RE: Serious thread...no joking...no laughter

Thats some funny stuff, oops.
No really I am serious!

Man, Real people only please

I have been in threads, watched people stating things like how dare you talk of something different in my thread, and low an behold this exact person is in another thread doing the same thing, ya, a hypocrite, I mean a bad one too, its like bad mouthing alot of people doing there thing, and angry cause there not serious enough and not staying on the subject of the thread and goes to another thread and does what he was just putting others down for.
I will not mention anymore than this.
Just have fun, whoever the hecks thread yer in, I create them and see them go off subject, so what, its all fun, and its free !
Enjoy and do not listen to those that seem to think they own this place as if they created it, just ignore them.
Have fun..................

RE: Runaway Bride

Hey, believe it or not I worked on the movie Runaway Bride, filmed alot on the east coast, where I lived.
I think it was Alexandria, VA where I worked, I lived in Charlottesville, VA, home of Thomas Jefferson.
Actually I ended up working at the University he built, and where Edgar Allen Poe attended.
Its funny, they have a dorm of edgar's, I assume the actual dorm, these buildings where built by Thomas Jefferson, so it seems likely.
Anyway, they have a dorm at an actual working college (which is very historical, very cool) where Edgar Allen Poe resided in while attending UVa, its sectioned off for veiwing, funny cause dorms next to it are being used for actual students.
Now for the funniest thing, Edgar Allen Poe was kicked out of the University, UVa (don't get it confused with the University in Richmond, not the same) for poor attendance, this is what I was told from several people working at this place, and now look at his popularity, amazing.
Virgina is a very beautifull place, if you like North American & USA history, VA is the place, mostly for American history (United states).
Its awsome.
The first White Man to Marry a native around 1608 at James Town, you know who she is ?
Pocahontas, I allways thought this to be a fairy tail, its a true and very awsome story, they where in love according to the real story.
Its great, combination of people over Love, it shows man.

How about those Minute Men !

Lionhearted1967,
you did no offense that I know of toward me, if you did and I did not know of it, apoligy accepted.
Very cool back ground, I like that.
As far as I know our last name goes back to a guy that landed in 1680, supposedly we are decendents from him, like I said about other stuff I need to research this.
I love history, you'd think I'd be more gunghoe to do this, oh well, maybe when I retire, hahahaa.
I hope I don't wait that long.

RE: Is There Really A God?

Thats terrible, very sorry for your loss'es.
I believe that God gave us freewill.
Most bad things that happen on this planet are Man made.
Cars are man made, accidents in cars are man made.
There are lots of natural disasters, I don't know, a fling in Gods creation, something nature needs to have happen for reasons beyond our knowledge, well some we know.
Evil people, there choice.
Personally, I don't think its much more complicated than this, we as humans have this brain that likes to make it complicated.
But now to kind of contradict this, I think our time is numbered, I think we all have a certain time to go, I know this contradicts what I just stated, but I am still in somewhat of questions.
I watched a very good friend lay dieing for 3 days, we started off telling him, Donny your gonna make it, and the last day where telling him to let go, its ok to leave, having to watch his kids was very tuff.
Life is, I don't know.
All in all I certainly believe in God, I ask him all the time why in the hell certain things are going the way they are, he never answers me like another person would, but he does in time by showing me.
I have been through some pretty difficult stuff the last 6 years, I can see why now, I needed the strengh for where I am at today.
One thing I do myself, I speak to God in private, and talk to him how I feel most comfortable, sometimes I am very frustrated with him and everything, I tell him and I say it like it is, cussing and all, I figure he's God and should be able to understand the contex in which my language is in.
I was told one time, he probably figures, at least he is showing faith.
I hope someone says something for you to go with, stay open minded, maybe you'll find what works and grow from this and help others going through the samething.
I am sorry to hear of your loss.
Take care and hang in there.

How about those Minute Men !

zehuti,
no problem, this is a touchy subject these days.
I guess there is a fine line on predjudice and obeying laws and keeping order.
I without a doubt pity people that have not and may never get the opportunities we get here.
I also very strongly believe world power nations can do much more to relieve and end world hunger.
If I was the President that would be a very major, top of the list priority, bringing together as many willing nations to end world hunger, this can happen, and I can not understand why its not happening.
I know alot of people are doing stuff although on the same token there are alot of people becoming rich of these peoples hunger, they need to be very extremly punished. I have a hard time donating money because of this. I will never hesitate however if someone is hungery and asks for some food, I will charge it if I have to, I don't give money, but I will by them a meal.
I think we as humans on this earth have some ways to go, its not hopeless, I think we can do it, God gave us the smarts, we just need to use them with our hearts.
Thanks for your e-mail back, peace !
