They are beautiful birds aren't they?
I had two cockatiels, one male one female. Nice colors, a blend of red/pink orange/yellow and grey and cute as buttons. They didn't speak but I got attached to them. Then I had to move back oversees and had to give them away. I was not happy.

And I'm not greedy for confirmation, I just think it will be funny as hell when people come to visit and my parrot says that over and over, I know I will have a lot of laughs.

I just may do that. Although I don't name my animals. I have a dog now he has no name. When I call him over I snap my fingers or tap my thigh and he knows I want him to come over. When he's far I whistle with my fingers in my mouth, I have one the loudest whistle you ever heard, some people plug their ears when I whistle.

In 10 years I'll be retired, living in a house in the south of France, hopefully Camargue region. I'll have two or three horses that I'll ride and take car of everyday. I will live alone, with a good dog, fish, turtle and parrot who will say "You're the best!" every few minutes.
If I'm doing anything now for it to be what I'd like I to be? Yes. I'm keeping in shape ( a horse farm is a lot of work ) I'm not getting seriously romanticly involved with anyone ( remember, I'll live alone ) and I'm keeping an eye on any opportunities that will advance my personal agenda.
