I like the INDOOR version, but like Soccer the outdoor game is far to dull and boring (for me anyway)...
We used to have a team called the Detroit Turbos that played out of the same Arena (Joe Louis Arena) that the Detroit Red Wings play (as did the AFL Detroit Drive), but when Mike Illitch bought the Detroit Tigers he apparently couldn't be bothered anymore and shut down those teams (and effectively those sports in the Detroit area) to gut those franchise staffs to focus on the Tigers... I was a Season ticket-holder for the Turbos... That League has changed names a few times but some of the teams we used to compete against are still going strong (thankfully) and I've even seen that it has expanded Westward (used to be pretty much a East coast sport) and I catch an occasional game on TV... No idea why someone hasn't tried to bring the market back to Detroit - actually, I think, putting a Team in Windsor Ontario might be the best route and go for the International flavor to market to former Michiganders that held tickets...
If you use the VEGAS.COM (link that is listed as an advertisement amongst these posts) I have found that the SAHARA room rates are even a few dollars cheaper ($56.25) than I got from (Travelocity.com $58/nt) BUT when I tried to do a AIR + HOTEL combined booking the Sahara didn't come up as a choice, so you will have to book those seperately to get the best deal via Vegas.com (and another BUT... the airfares I've been finding through Travelocity are better) ...
So, again, in order to find your best deals, you will want to check the seperate online booking engines, price AIR/HOTEL together (find Sahara where possible, it should be one of the least expensive, but a few less expensive ones are available), price AIR and HOTEL seperate, etc.... you get the idea.... before you make your final bookings....
Take care...

Best damn chocolate I've had anywhere... Vegas Baby! Can't wait for the Vegas GT... going to the Stratosphere for their Choco-speher Tower.... FANTASTIC.... Scale model of the Stratosphere Tower made out of high-quality chocolate with the summit filled with chocolate mouse ... (I have them hold the whip-cream and cherry sauce - DON'T MESS WITH CHOCOLATE'S PERFECTION)
I may just end each and every day in Vegas with one of those!!
Yep, get a blanket, go to Subway for some Subs, Chips, and beverages, and have yourself a little picnic at a local park - there are a few simple pleasures we can still have
you actually expect a substantive, real, honest, open, debate on a real subject matter.... you silly, silly, person you....
That's rich....
The only exercise some peeps around here get is Jumping to Conclusions (as some will over-react to this comment - Does the shoe fit? [amazing how some will Parade around in them even though the shoes don't necessarily fit]).... Please do not expect them to have to actually think and have a civilized interaction
My apologies... you used the word "complained" (direved from complain) in discussing the original poster.... BUT you are right, what I should have said (lazy typing) was "One of the Key Words, IMO, from your post was/is.... etc...
But I believe you understand the point I was making
Take care, c u 'round the Forums... hope you'll join in the Chat room some time too
That was/is the key word in your comment... We all have and are entitled to have bad days and be down, and we certainly should be honest/earnest and speak our minds (not put an artificial emotion or false front), but (AND THIS IS A GENERAL COMMENT, NOT AIMED AT OUR ORIGINAL THREAD CREATOR - OR RATHER A NOTICE FOR ALL OF US) being seen as a Positive person is an important impression to make... If ANY OF US expect to attract the attention of others...
Not Judging, cuz I don't know our original poster... Just making the General comment... We have all seen some of those Grumpy people around here, do you not distance yourself?
And hopefully follow up that visit with the Gathering in Vegas!?!?
You know you two could get Married there during the CS GT, if Love is in the air!! I'll volunteer to be the Worst Man (the guy that does nothing but show up for the Cake)...
Well, Miracle? Eye of the beholder stuff... We can look for and find God and Miracles, as well as help to make them for each other (Give God a break, and help someone have a Miracle yourself )... Makes a nice story though.
Can I grab ahold of her and SHAKE some sense into her??
Just a joke friends (we know each other, sort-a, from Chat - just friendly badgering/banter)
I wish I could make the CD GTs (anywhere/everywhere, would escpecially love to get overseas, but... you know, that sticky little issue of finances). It would be so nice to meet some of the online friends I have developed. I look forward to meeting whomever can make Vegas (Hopefully lots of Handshakes and Hugs to be had there. Nuala is otherwise pre-occupied and can't make it, as with everyone that will be busy attending her Special day ). I hope there will also be other GTs that I might be able to get my hands on a reliable enough vehicle to drive to in the future...
At any rate... Keep your eyes on the Events / Get-Togethers Forum so we can put into action the "Handshake / Hug" notion.
Maybe *****slist [shh, we're not supposed to mention other sites ] would be a better option... if all you are looking for is dates with little to no pre-interaction
