Photo ratings - what influences your rating? (24)
I had previously avoided rating photos and even just now turned on photo rating for myself... Are Photo ratings, in general, a good or bad concept? We're all human, do we really need our ego's bruised and/or inflated in such a manner? Just asking!

I think photo rating is good as long as it's not taken too seriously and to heart. I rate them because I like my pic to be in as many peoples "fans galleries" as possible

I don't often rate photo's to be honest - however I think a good thing about it is that if you are too shy to contact someone you really fancy then you can give them a high rating to show your approval + if your'e lucky they might not be as shy and send you a thank you flower of something to get the conversation going
But unfortunately I do see a lot of ego bruising involved with people purposefully rating photos low to spite someone they may be jealous of etc.

Good point, I also experienced jealous women giving me a 1 I'm so upset
I've turned my photo ratings off for the time being until my shattered confidence and broken

I normally judge photos by there little comments at the bottom... sometimes shows some insight to their sense of humour.
If you have a low rating sometimes you cant help but feel a little down about it. But hey ho, thats just life. Everyone has their likes/dislikes.
