What exactly is shallow? The fact that people have different values, lifestyles and preferences shouldn't make one more or less shallow then another.

I might be considered to be shallow by some... I'm at a stage in my life that it's all about me. but after years of my life being all about everyone else, it's my turn to have what I want, how I want it.

Sorry to pull a disappearing act but I`ve just been released from the hospital.

On June 13 there was a gas leak in my apt and it exploded with me in it.
I was airlifted to a special burn unit in Valencia for treatment of severe burns to 45 % of my body and will be going through recovery for the next couple of years. They almost lost me a couple of times, I was in a coma for 5 weeks on a ventilator and then a tracheotomy.

The past 2 weeks I`ve made amazing progress... the doctors thought I would be in ICU until Sept but instead they`ve released me to a nearby apt where friends and family are taking it in shifts to help me. I`m in rehab and have just started walking on my own the use of my hands will take quite a bit longer as they had to be totally reconstructed.

I`m looking a bit like a patchwork doll as the areas that weren`t burned have scars from skin grafts used to patch up the rest of me, I was very lucky that my face is almost unscathed.

No, I think it's pretty ignorant and negative to hate a whole country, you csn hate certain acts or positions a Country takes but everywhere has some redeeming qualities. Having said that, I wouldn't date someone who was blindly patriotic either.

Sorry Adam...gotta disagree with your friends argument...just look at the time when America was being settled, the times of the Ca gold rush...everyone was armed...there were still bank robbers and train and stagecoach...just a lot more people would wind up dead
