RE: top five things u hate..

confused hmm, lets see...

Contact sports like soccer etc. - it totally smacks of the caveman era, discover 21st century sports, e.g. counter-strike.

Bullies - really a case of, just cuz you can, doesn't mean you should, and certainly doesn't enhance you in any way as a person.

Snobs - i.e., people thinking cuz they've more money, education or have just made better choices in their earlier years thinking that those of us that haven't done as well are automatically scum...

People that use childhood traumas as an excuse for anti-social behaviour - e.g., chronic alcoholics attacking people, stealing, holding up A & E with fake guns (my ex's brother) and abandoning their parental responsibilities cuz they weren't hugged enough as a child.

Not sure about number 5, as there's so much that could fit in there, I'll probably settle for the record companies sueing people cuz their revenue is down. They might sell more if they weren't trying to bombard us with marketing to buy the latest one hit wonder they're churning out, yes, if you take crappy music or a crappy movie, no matter how you dress it up with fancy ads, it's still crap.

RE: biggest breakfast in the world

Pity about the 10 eggs, not an egg person at all.

That said, I'd be fairly well able to finish the rest of it after a night on the vodka...

RE: Who was your 1st CS buddy???????????

ya, he was a good laugh and lots of wisdom too, but sometimes it didn't go down too well with others.

He disappeared off doing documentaries, havent heard from him in months.

RE: Who was your 1st CS buddy???????????

Patrick thomas, prob only a few people like Losty BB and LL would remember him.

Other than that, Crystal, whose been a good friend over the last year.

RE: Anyones birthday today?

either way, some choices.

Given the way going out has gone, sometimes the staying in option can be less stressful.

And if you get too wasted, you can just crawl up the stairs to bed.

RE: Anyones birthday today?

2 courses of action...

Go out, get drunk, fall into a takeaway on the way home.

Stay in with a load of movies - action stuff, lots of guns and cute women - , get in drink, and order a takeaway to the door (friends optional).

RE: star trek

Dunno, no sign of it on

RE: star trek

they wouldn't want to come into my house then, my DVD player's actually a PC hooked up to the tv.

RE: star trek

thanks lads, found it, I'll prob have it waiting for me by morning... grin

RE: star trek

Actually, just what year it came out would suffice. I can find it, but im seeing one for 2007, 2008 and 2009.

RE: star trek

If possible, tried google, but it failed me this time.

RE: boon

as a kid, i loved "Space 1999", don't know if anyone remembers that one.

RE: star trek

confused erhmm, no, any more details...

RE: star trek

ah sure, go on...

RE: boon

Well, already, other than shadowlord and tallaght guy, I see all the rest of the usual suspects here.

To earlier in the thread, I know soemone with all the Original star trek episodes, might get them off him at some stage, all 30 gb of it...

doh I'll prob need another new hard drive before halloween

RE: boon

If you've seen the Serenity movie, and love sci-fi in general, you'll love it.

It's one of those series where you can really fall for the characters.

RE: boon

Currently working my way thru Star Trek Voyager at the moment, half-way thru season 5.

After that, probably Firefly

RE: Uniforms

Women in army uniform.

Watched Jessica Simpson in Major Movie Star yesterday.

The movie itself was so-so, but all those women in tight khakis, doing all those training exercises...

RE: All the things

I hated the 80s music with a vengence.

When I was growing up, the girls listened to the top 30, or whatever it was, and the lads listened to AC/DC, Iron Maiden and all metal stuff.

One time an idiot I knew went to the local nightclub with a Wet Wet Wet (anyone remember them) t-shirt on. Needless to say, he ended up in A & E very swiftly.

Also, everyone obsessing about the american soaps like Dallas and Dynasty, like they do know about the Irish and English ones.

RE: favourite films

We're all big Buron fans in our house.

RE: favourite films

doh I'll be downloading all weekend...

Oh,

Black Sheep
A Clockwork Orange
The Lake House
The machinist
Withnail And I

RE: favourite films

Haven't seen the first, loved the rest. If I'm not stuck here when I'm drinking, I'm in front of the telly watching movies one after another.

Edward Scissorhands is an absolute classic. Yesterday, the kids and myself watched the 3 Back To The Future films one after another.

RE: favourite films

It's nasty in some parts, but given the other movies you've mentioned, it fits right in.

I loved Event Horizon, the one horror that actually scared me for some reason (couldn't sleep for 3 nights after it).

Oh, Screamers, with yer man from robocop.

RE: favourite films

I LOVE American Psycho.

Not big into tv programs at all, but I love my movies, I've watched some very strange and disturbing ones over the years.

Anyone on this thread seen Irreversible, the french movie with the story told backwards.

RE: favourite films

When I download stuff, it goes into a special folder til I can flick thru it to see if its ok, or if I need to wait til late to watch it.

RE: favourite films

Was watching it the day it came out here... on the tv at home grin grin

Agree with tgwstw though, the weakest of the series.

Oh, Running Scared with Paul Walker. If I ever turn gay, he's first on the list...

RE: favourite films

Crap, now you've me started off.

Also, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead, The Burbs, Last Action Hero, True Lies...

RE: favourite films

I have 28 days, Old Boy (love it), Hard Candy (first person other than myself that's even heard of it) and Schindler.

Must go looking for the others over the weekend.

RE: favourite films

yes, also, Memphis Belle needs to go on that list too.
