Actually, whether it's a good or bad thing, often I'm more like an older brother than a dad, I'm that much of a kid.
Still, keeps the lines of communication open a lot better, in that they know that I genuinely like a lot of the stuff they do, rather than just trying to pretend.
I love chocolate when I'm sitting down watching a good movie.
That said, if I know I'm settling down for the night watching stuff, ie a few movies in a row, I'll prob have a drink, and for some strange reason, once I start drinking, it totally turns me off food, to the point that I'd rarely drink alcohol while eating, even when out.
I love easter, in that, even though I don't get eggs off people, my kids usually end up leaving loads of the smaller bits around, and during the time they're off, we sit down watching lots of family movies like Babe or the Addams Family, during which I get to have their left-overs.
Aside for a taste for the drink, I've a chronic sweet tooth. Not on the chocolate tonight - the drink kills the urge for food - but I always have loads in the house, even some nice brownies...
Oh crap...
the food type, not the young girl scouts... only realised how abiguous that was after I typed it.
Actually, so's mine. Well, I think most of them are LCD. If it has either HDMI, component - the one with green, blue and red - or a computer screen connection it should be fairly easy.
Googling it along with the model number might be no harm to be on the safe side.
If it's one of the older CRT type TVs, it can unless you spend ages getting the settings exactly right, so not a good idea unless you're the kinda person that knows all the ins and outs of a PC.
If it's a LCD or plasma tv, then there shouldn't be any major problem - there's lots of places on the net where you can find out the best way to connect them up.
On the middle shelf, designed to blend in with everything else. As well as playing DVDs and downloaded stuff, I play Half-life 2, Oblivion and Need for Speed Underground on it.
Just read about the fighting falcon sim - it's by the same guys that made the apache longbow sim, and I remember that was seriously hardocre.
I know Jane's F15 is along the same lines, it's so complex there's no such thing as trying to fly with just an ordinary joystick. Those kinda sims are for the real nuts...
You can use them together, although you might have a bit more work to do in the config department...
From what I read, your best bet is if they're the same brand, you're less likely for them to clash, which is why I'm hoping to get both things under the Saitek brand.
As for combat flight sims, I'll prob end up trying a bunch of them.
Other notable mentions would be Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Crysis, Far Cry, Need for Speed: Underground, rFactor, Doom 3, Quake 4, Medal of Honour Allied Assault, Call of Duty, Star Trek Voyager Elite Force, Max Payne.
I picked someone that I not only had no feelings for, but also the type I could never really want to be involved with. Once I did that, it didn't matter whether I heard from her again or not.
That sounds cold and callous, but sometimes for your own self-preservation and your sanity you have to be.
RE: profile pics.
That's the problem, I make a great friend, just no-one seems interested in more. Maybe I need to butch up a bit.
