Im only too aware of depression and the effect of it and your comments on alcohol where I will accept that it would be a lot easier when you are drunk because you are not thinking rationaly I would still say that it would take an awful amount of guts to do it and subconciously we would be looking for way not to
Yeah it was certainly different it made a few bands and produced some raw music but it was a bit manufactured and was succeded by disco so draw your own conclusions on that
But I understand what you're saying but do you think that perhaps you were just looking for help and this was subconciously your way of getting it (its just a thought Im not trying to have a go)
Well The Clash were a great band but its hard to say they were punk because they kept changing thier style loved Joe Strummer but the man behind the Clash was Mick Jones and I loved when he set up Big Audio Dynamite they were a great band but out of them all SLF were my favourites
Was that in the TV club on Harcourt St in 82 i think it was, I saw them in Naas about 2 yrs ago but it was only Jake Burns and two lads fom his old band Jake and The Big Chair and Bruce Foxton (formerly of the Jam) was on bass a bit cheesy but a great night though
Im not having a go dude but that last statement have you any evidence to back it up (and before you think Im trying to start a row it is a subject thats very close to me )
RE: EARS!!!!
Do you remember where this band made their breakthrough
