RE: COUNTRY

Well in all fairness Paul McGrath was born in England but was raised in Drimnagh

RE: COUNTRY

O'leary, Brady, Hughton, McGrath, Staunton

RE: COUNTRY

That maybe true but the vast majority of that team were Irish Bonner, Whelan, Quinn, Moran etc

RE: COUNTRY

Fair play to you laugh laugh

RE: COUNTRY

~And if a President of the US whose great great great grandfather was Irish can claim to be Irish and look for 'Irish' votes in the next US election anything is possible dunno dunno

RE: EARS..3??

Happy 70th Birthday Bob

RE: age

Well its probably a Kildare way of saying that laugh

RE: age

As they say down my way you shine up well thumbs up

RE: GAA... Chit chat thread.

Athy have a great youth set up from under 10s to senior and they have some great players as well

RE: GAA... Chit chat thread.

Archibald yea hes not too bad, a yound lad Connor (I think) Brophy came on today he looks one for the future

RE: age

So that me off your list crying crying crying wave

RE: GAA... Chit chat thread.

McGrillen had a great game, hes a great player alright but he is better as a corner back

RE: GAA... Chit chat thread.

Well I hope it continues til after the Kildare game laugh handshake

RE: GAA... Chit chat thread.

Hiya Dude, yea I was in Portlaoise, we played well, Johnny Doyle was brilliant in midfield and I'll be honest I didnt think he would be great in that role at Championship level, the wind was horrendous but we still kicked 19 wides but a win is a win

RE: GAA... Chit chat thread.

I also heard on The Sunday Game tonight that 2 of the selectors have quit for 'personal reasons'

RE: EARS..3??

Happy Birthday Phil Rudd drummer of this band

RE: Loss and coming to terms with it.

I know where you're coming from and I have experienced those feelings in the past, the only advice I can give you is to go and see your GP and they can point you in the right direction, Im not being smart but I think you need proffessional help and the fact you have come on to a website stating that you have problems coping I think you realise that as well hug

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

I thought John Crofton did ok in his first season we played well but after that we relied on the hand pass game which Kildare have never mastered, last year Down got the illegal goal but they were far superior to Kildare at times they played us off the park

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Yea thats true to a point, I dont think this Kildare team is good enough to win a Leinster, its great that we have Mick Conway back which will tighten up our defence, over the past few years we have been very touch and go, we have played brilliant and lost and played cr*p and won, we have got the rub of the green and we have been robbed as well, having said that Down played the much better fotball than us last year, Im a lilywhite through and through and I hate saying this but Im wondering has McGeeney progressed Kildare football? At a club level I dont think so

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Thats right its after the Inter

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Tomas O'Connor is a good player but he is not championship material (Imo) he is playing for my village and he is a good player but he hasnt convinced me yet, no offence taken I though you were slagging me because I live in the county town laugh laugh but my heart is in my home village

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Well they are playing the Dubs in the Leinster Semi Final after beating Offaly last weekend, Kildare as a team arent playing great, they are lacking a leader, Johnny is the Captain but we are missing Dermot big time

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

It wont be easy and our forwards havent been great but we live in hope

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Has the team been named? And Im no townie dude handshake I live in a town but Im from a village

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Well we have been very poor in midfield in the league and Doyle plays there for Allenwood, I dont think its his strongest position at championship level but he hasnt named the team yet

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Eire Og were a great footballing team what has happened to them?

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Yea Ive heard of James Stafford, whats the under age system like in Wicklow?

RE: EARS..3??

One of my all time favourite songs, reminds me of MtUsa thumbs up

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

Thats a pityt for Wicklow because Baltinglass had some very good footballers, are they still the strongest in the county?

RE: all-ireland tipping comp

No thats fair enough you're dead right fair play to you supporting your club thumbs up
