On the radio yesterday I heard that DNA had been found on a piece of meteorite, so certainly there is or has been life far away. Who are we to think we are the only living creatures in the universe and beyond. It is quite possible there is alien life and we shouldn't dismiss the idea. We can, though, dismiss the nutters who say that have been probed up the ooojar by an alien, simply for the attention they get!
Another thing is, apart from the mothers' emotions - consider the child.
At the moment my two teenage daughters are going through exciting stages in their lives - one with a fascinating job, the other about to travel for the summer.
Both of them so excited about life and future prospects. It's wonderful that I (and my ex-hubby - bless his cotton socks) have given my daughters life.
Never mind my feelings on how hard it was bringing them up alone - when I see their lives now and how well balanced they are and what sort of future they having coming to them, it makes me very satisfied and proud.
I usually see the good in people until they prove me wrong. However, on the internet on any site you should be wary. Best way to chat is by videocam. If someone has something to hide he or she is less prone to be chatting on cam. Of course they are ways to hide if a person doesn't want you to know he is in a relationship whilst chatting online.
It is natural when married to look at someone you like the look of, but to act on your feelings is a different matter.
Nowadays people don't feel it morally wrong to divorce and break the marriage vows.
I feel sorry for your pain, original poster, but this situation is so common. Don't let it ruin you mood. It takes time for the pain to heal, but you will pick yourself up and you will feel proud of yourself for conquering your sadness. I hope you find happiness soon.
Shyness can be cute, although of course it is also a handicap. Shyness is basically self-consciousness and possibly a lack of feeling your opinions are worth anything. Shy people should understand they are just as worthy as anyone else, and people are interested in getting to know shy people. Just take it slow, deep breaths and say what you want to. It may feel awkward at first but it gets better as the days pass by and, as they say, success breeds success.
Not quite but on a slightly different note, during a time when I was very upset over what was going on in my life, on several nights I felt a hand on my shoulder when lying on my side as I was dropping off to sleep. It happened a few times and I wasn't frightened but felt comforted and also a couple of times as falling asleep I felt a gentle kiss on my cheek. Of course during those times I was alone, and it made me feel comforted though.
I consider children a blessing and am very much against abortions except in rare circumstances. I had my daughters when I was 34 and 37. The only thing I regret is marrying their father because I was pregnant and thought it a stigma to not be married whilst being a mother. Apart from that - they are wonderful and I feel upset for couples who are trying to conceive and can't.
I think it is more about being on a reality tv show that these people wanting to work for Sir Alan. People want to be famous. Those candidates were doing well in their careers and could have got better positions without working for Sir Alan. However, this programme has given them exposure with all that entails. The public are too gullible. It's all about fame and money.
I am pleased you have. I have just been doing everything wrong. I am used to being the 'golden girl' there and literally everything has gone wrong and not only that but I have managed to upset a couple of people and I never do that. It is so weird and I have realised that my first name and surname add up to 13 letters too. Not that I am superstitious and never have been, but it is so weird how today has been. Anyway, have a great weekend!
My day at work is going cr@p. Everything is going wrong and it is not because I know it's Fri 13 - just everything is going pear-shaped. Is anyone else finding the same?
I think it depends on the woman's self-confidence and self-belief. She may feel like she does not warrant someone's attention, but if she is the type who is used to attention, she will pick up on the signals.
Hiya, yes I joined a couple of weeks or so ago. I was recommended to join from someone on another site - it seems really friendly here. Pleased to meet you too.
I have a problem with eye contact with whoever I am VERY atttracted to - in fact I just simply cannot look people in the eye in that situation. I have always been like that. At least I stopped blushing in my 20s though!!!
Also when no one is in the room, make sure the cat is out and shut the door so you are almost always in the room to deal with the situation. We don't allow our cats in the kitchen for hygienne and safety sakes, and we always close the door when we are not in there.
It's brilliant for the patients. A well performing NHS Trust gets people seen fast from point of referral. It's all about efficiency and constant turnaround. Remember the days not so long ago when people had to wait something like a year or so for their first outpatients' appointment. No longer so.
RE: Shopping
I love shopping - but paying for it is not much fun - especially when I use the plastic
