I suppose it all depends on how you define success. You might want to be as rich as Alan Sugar, but would you want to have his personal characteristics? I certainly wouldn't.

why does it have to be a big fish?

I class myself successful in my career, but thats because of the sheer hard work and determination ive put in to get there, not by arrogance or cheating or lying, and thats achievable by everyone in whatever they chose. Id rather be liked and respected by my peers, then hated and resented.

I dont want to be the 'next big thing' i dont want fame or fortune' as long as i am happy and comfortable with the way my life is going then i class myself as successful.tongue

But of course this is just my own personal opinion wink

No, it's not war, it's a TV programme. Many people on these stupid programmes take themselves far too seriously. I cringe as some of them fawn over Sugar in their efforts to ingratiate themselves with him.

Sugar is not the sort of person I would work for. I prefer to be valued as a person rather than someone who is there to beef up his bank balance and considerable ego.

I think it is more about being on a reality tv show that these people wanting to work for Sir Alan. People want to be famous. Those candidates were doing well in their careers and could have got better positions without working for Sir Alan. However, this programme has given them exposure with all that entails. The public are too gullible. It's all about fame and money.

i totally disagree some of the people there yes have good jobs but nothing in comparison to what sir alan is offering them, starting six figure salary just to start yes it is about money. who wouldn't give everything for a job like that. i bet most of them don't even want to be on tv. i know many people that have applied for the apprentice and trust me none of them want to be on tv they want the job. if these people just wanted to be on tv they would apply for big brother!
