Not to worry Dilly Dally, Ked's going to get a good old-fashioned red-headed slap so we can knock some sense into him. He'll be putty in your hands after that!
Seems to me that there is little difference between a CS relationship and a RL relationship once it has begun in earnest (and in RL). Some work, some don't.
But one big advantage of CS is that, for many of us, you get the opportunity to meet and know FAR MORE people here than you would in RL. The relationship will be just as difficult as RL, but the odds might be better since you meet so many more.
I've turned mine off and most of the requests are from people I've never heard of. I found it was the thing that was rude as it's so disruptive and doesn't work well either. JMHO
I think a lot of people here simply don't know what is the proper thing to do. Some people get genuinely angry with you if you try to send them a polite "no thank you." Sometimes people are just afraid to hurt the other person's feelings. After all, just because you're not interested doesn't mean you don't respect the person for inquiring. And then sometimes it's a matter of efficiency because you might go back and forth 10 times before the other party quits arguing with you.
So don't take any of it personal since it might be a bunch of different reasons and not all of them are personally directed at you or intended to be rude. It's JMHO, but I personally think if you stick to posting on the forums you'll eventually meet a lot of really sincere people.
BTW... I offered to conduct a funeral for my bosses moustache. Let us know about the goatee and we can do the same someday! But please put it in your pre-nup!
I once had a boss who had this huge wonderful moustache that suited him wonderfully. He got remarried and the next thing I knew it was gone after YEARS and YEARS. What a pity. I wanted to shoot her! LOL
RE: What would you put in the pocket of the person above you!
A girlfriend.(I think you deserve one!)
