The Robert Johnson legend of selling his soul to the devil ... Robert Johnson was a half hearted guitar player who couldn't get any gigs... nobody wanted him playing in their clubs... His wife, at the time, became pregnant.. because of complications, she lost the child at birth and also her own life...after that, Robert Johnson disappeared and sunk his sadness in his guitar and music...when he returned to the scene, his playing was fantastic...it was said that the only way his playing could have changed so drastically was to have "sold his soul to the devil"... Robert Johnsons playing inspired countless musicians...if you listen to his recordings, it sounds like two guitars playing, at times..in that day and age, a recording consisted of one track and one take...Robert Johnsons playing, alone, was legendary...
