RE: 911

Has ANYONE actually seen a set demolition???? Does anyone know it is done? If you do, you would see how it would be impossible for anyone to have set demolition in the twin towers without ever being noticed. People who do set demolitions have even explained how it would be impossible, because for buildings that big, with that many pillars you would need a lot of time, and also about 100 men for the job (to get it done in a short time frame). So, it would be impossible to get all of these works secretly into the building, and begin cut away at the pillars and then setting demo charges, without anyone noticing. doh

RE: More proof coming out that 911 was an inside job

The attacks on the 11th of September were not an inside job, there has been no valid proof to back this claim up. The only possibility of any type of conspiracy theory that could possibly be valid is that the Bush administration had enough knowledge to stop the attacks but failed to do so. But, even this is only a theory.

I think the biggest problem, is that most people want to believe that it was an inside job that the government planned the attacks or were involved. I think its hard for many Americans and even people from other countries to believe that a group of people that many people in the US and the world saw has backwards or not advanced were able to carry off such an attack. It showed that America was vulnerable and had weaknesses...so many people don't want to believe that or feel that...so they turn to alternative theories, like it being a government job. Now people can feel that the US was not vulnerable, but instead was tricked by a very clever and sneaky government.

But, so far all of these theories of set demolition charges, missiles, government involvement, and so on have been easily been proven wrong.

RE: Randomly post the first thing that pops into your head thread

laugh That is so true... laugh

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

Well, this is the problem...is that capitalism has gone to far. Its a wonderful system as long as everyone plays fair and people don't get greedy, but unfortunately their are some people out their who have gotten really greedy and through their own greed and interests have driven some of the biggest companies, corporations, industries, banks, and so on to the ground.

The problem is if the government helps them, they are not regulated and they are still greedy, and its the tax payers who are paying, and the tax payers that are hurting. The CEO's are fine. But, if the government doesn't help these companies then they fail, which in a free market system should be allowed to happen. However, in these cases this would create a mass unemployment, and also major industrial loss for the US.

So, its a tough situation for the government. Although, I like the idea that instead of the government using bailout money for these companies, they use the billions of dollars for bailouts for the people, give each person in the country 1 million dollars. It would be cheaper then the bailouts, it would wipe out the majority of people's debts....and it would boast the economy. Because, when people have a lot of extra money, they SPEND. I think if the government is going to be hanging out billions of dollars, why not give it to the people? dunno

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

Yes, you are right that he is not doing everything that he said he would during the election. I am disappointed in his lack of taking a strong stance on any kind of policy. I understand that he wants to try to make everyone happy, but this is also causing nothing to be really done, which in turn is leaving nobody happy. BUT, I think this letter goes in the wrong direction, especially when it is talking about diplomatic relations. So, I think the letter is far too strong and really missing the mark. So, I feel it doesn't represent every Americans opinion.

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

EVER AMERICAN???? What is wrong with you people? OBVIOUSLY Obama could not be elected or have even been a candidate, had this been EVERY Americans opinion about him. He took international trips before the election and during the election...and people STILL voted for him. I guess the majority of Americans are not real Americans. doh

RE: is fox news

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing I have no idea what "fox news koolaid" would be...put that did give me a good laugh laugh

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

Well, clearly that has not stopped the spending...that is why we have reached trillions of dollars of debt laugh doh

RE: FOR PALESTINE

Yes you are...we just need to get you to the UN and get this into a binding resolution laugh

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

Well, that is a good question. Obviously we have been able to borrow trillions of dollars...and eventually the countries that have loaned the money will want to collect. I suppose they will want to collect when they feel the US is no longer worth investing in, or they feel US-and their country's ties are strong enough that the US would repay them without causing any sort of diplomatic problems, or any other kind of negative reaction. After all, although the US is in an extremely large amount of debt, they still have an extremely powerful hand.

RE: FOR PALESTINE

laugh uh oh

Well, at least that is a suggestion for a solution dunno laugh

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

I guess until all the people the government owes mass amount of money to ask to be repaid. Until then, the government just keeps borrowing and spending. uh oh

RE: FOR PALESTINE

thumbs up Yes you are very right, it does take a lot of thought and hard work to achieve a valid solution. Two different people and ideologies. So, it can be hard to find common ground, although I do believe it exists.

And you are also right about the strategic position that they have. =)

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

thumbs up Yes, that is true the initial response to attacking the Taliban and Al-Queda in Afghanistan was justified. I should have been more clearer. Is was after Iraq, and really in the second term where the United Nations really start to loose and damage US diplomatic relations. Anyway, good post handshake

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

Well, we are already in Afghanistan. Just, because Obama wants peace it doesn't mean that he can just abandon Afghanistan. The United States entered Afghanistan establish a new government there and is fighting the Taliban. If the government pulls all the troops, the Afghan government would collapse, they Taliban would regain control and continue to move into Pakistan. Creating a whole big security issue. Also, it would really damage the US image. Basically to the world, we would have gone there caused a lot of damage and death, and nothing would have changed....actually it would change, it would be more hostile there. The top Commanders in Afghanistan are asking for more troops, because they understand that with the troop level now, they are not going to be making the progress they need/want.

RE: Mr. Obama shame on you.........................

thumbs up I believe Obama is restoring diplomacy for the United States...US diplomatic relations around the world were suffering throughout Bush's term. Their administration really had little interest in diplomacy its concept.

And it is important how the US looks to the entire world. And to give the imagine that US cares and respects other nations, is something that I feel is very important and good.

Americans use to be respected worldwide for a long time, but that image was almost completely erased from almost the entire world during the Bush Administration. And our way of being diplomatic to Europe and other parts of the world was embarrassing. So, I am happy to see Obama out their gaining the respect of the world back for America!

RE: is fox news

Out of curiosity, what makes you (anyone with this same opinion about Fox) so sure that they are telling the truth?

I don't mean to sound like Fox News is full of only lies, but I feel that they don't present the entire story. To be honest, think that is how all the networks are these days. A little truth to everything, but never the whole story.

But, its like you feel that Fox is the whole and complete truth. What makes you so sure? dunno

RE: is fox news

communism??????????? Do you people even have the slightest idea what communism is???? The United States is nowhere even CLOSE to communism...

Some ideas of the the Democratic Party are of a more socialist nature, but again...I don't think the people throwing the word socialism around really understand socialism.

And Yes, they are all biased news stations. But that doesn't mean that fox is better because they are outnumbered.

RE: FOR PALESTINE

I have tried to suggest some solution, and tried to get others to work on some solutions...but for the most part the people in this thread don't have an interest in the solution they just prefer to argue about how awful the other side is. doh

RE: FOR PALESTINE

That's a good point...actually I am really not sure why the US continue to have sanctions on Cuba, the Soviet Union Collapsed in 1991...

RE: FOR PALESTINE

Well regarding sanctions, I agree...this unfortunately does usually only hurt the people. In general, the government usually make sure it has whatever it needs even in the hard times.

RE: FOR PALESTINE

Well, I think Iran should be able to have a nuclear power plant. But, not nuclear weapons. Actually, I am glad to see that the nations that do have nuclear weapons are in agreement that they would like to see reduction of nuclear weapons around the world, and hopefully, eventually the complete removal of all nuclear weapons worldwide.

RE: is fox news

Actually problem with American politics today, is that the parties are becoming to concerned about party affiliation. I liked the Republican Party for a very long time, but I have lost respect for them, because I no longer see them as a party for the people, but more of a part for corporate interest. And the democratic party focus so much on elections, they don't really do anything. They make lots of promises and great speeches but putting their actions in to play is not happening.

Both parties are always worried about party loyalty and being the majority and so forth. I think they need to spend more time in actually fixing the problems in USA.

I think there needs to be some new parties in America, to create difference balance and political atmosphere.

RE: is fox news

Spasibo! handshake

Well, I don't that only fox news is biased. Really, if you think about...all new stations are biased to some degree. Its human nature to choose some side on some issues. There is no completely unbiased news station. That is why I like to look at a variety of news stations worldwide. And over time you learn where each station has their biased opinions and interests, and which issues they do not show a biased opinion.

RE: Why do we as a society execute people for killing people to show that killing is wrong?

Well, unless the home owner killed the intruder in self defense, then it is a crime. According to the law (at least in California) you can not just shoot someone because they are on your property or in your house. They need to be in physical danger for it to be justified.

RE: is fox news

laugh Glenn Beck is an idiot... doh laugh

RE: FOR PALESTINE

Well, that would be another reason why the territory should be under UN control, they would be handling security in the area, and the Israeli would not have a legitimate reason to bomb Palestine (which would be bombing the United Nations) unless the UN peacekeeping force was completely over ran and destroyed by the Palestinians, which I don't think would happen.

But, the individual nations in the International community also have to take a strong stance. Some recent news has shown this. Even the United States has indicated to the Israeli Government that they need to tone it down a bit. It might not be much in most peoples eyes, but it is a significant movement. If the United States takes a firm stance on both Israel and Palestine, I think more room for negotiations will open up.
