folks reprioritize and help each other. (love or fear?) folks start taking it serious and do the honorable thing which is to self isolate and not risk others for non-essential things.
re: pandemic it went without saying.... i understood
i think you're smart to do what you have done. my friend designed and built a dome in BC back before 2000, and has several containers on her 10 acre property filled. own water filtration from underground creek, /air filtration systems etal...she has done many similar things to which you have done. it takes discipline and planning...and a whole lot of work. (she was hands on building the dome....12" thick walls and she even did the rebarb...lol) she's still working on it. it's safe and done. but the last few years have been more aesthetic concerns. and over these years, she has developed rich relationships with her like minded neighbors up the mountain.
feeling prepared and safe is a nice feeling (grin).
i meant to add... i didn't use paper towels for most of my life. just started using them about 7-8 years ago. so you'll be ok.
i have friends in BC who prepped years ago...it's coming in handy now. and like you, the neighbors are sharing with each other. i moved....lol. but we'll in good shape.
i don't know if you did this already. but have you posted how you make your c silver?
...having said that.. i'm not sure i would ever get married again. i did the walk away thing from a marriage, and started over. wouldn't want to do that again. i'm in a relationship now and we did more of a handfasting ceremony.
i voted for virus. it's a concern, because we don't know enough about it. there's been several cases identified near where i live. so i'm not worried, but it is a concern.
i like to use my time to paint, share laughter with friends and loved ones, some meditation, puttering around on small projects, and in the kitchen. and a good adventure is always welcome.
this past year...... time is being used up by renovations and patience (code for waiting for others..lol) i feel the clock ticking and try to enjoy the present moments.
the good news....i'm spending my time painting the walls of the new studio right now, and next will be sanding and doing something with the floor. it's been a year.....feeling like an important part of me is missing and looking forward to her coming back.
re: those lovely folks on the coast. i do hope those closer are helping them. and as for that other person...lol... old dogs don't change their spots, so i do hope all that flirting leads to something spectacular. (grin)
