This is a sad video to watch. don't you all have curb-side and home food delivery after you order it online?
Major food stores here do the shopping for you (based on your online order) and they either load your car at the store or deliver it to your home. Presently, it takes four or five days to fill orders but it gets done.

Why don't they stop people using trolleys and make only baskets available? That could put a stop to the deplorable selfishness.

That brought me to tears. It should be on the evening and morning news for these hoarders to see what the outcome of their stockpiling is doing.

The food they hoard might be keeping it from a nurse or doctor who could be the very professional that would save their life.

In the United States 26,000 people have been diagnosed with the virus and 600 have died and we haven't even seen the worst of it.

Thank you Tom for posting this video. It truly affected me

sigh

The government has just announced they are going to crack down on people gathering together for events, Bo Jo seems reluctant to take action against these people but it has to happen.

I agree with you this may be one solution (baskets only), but when you are dealing with this type of mentality, much as I hate it, police action may be necessary.

People are getting greedy, no respect for others at all. I even bet that they go in as a family and split up to show they are singular shoppers. What comes round, goes round. Don't do to others that you would not like yourself !!!!!

germanspitz: I've been using Tesco delivery for over 9 years since having replacement joint surgery and had a great service. When I logged on last week all slots were booked until 28th. March and I have a delivery saver paid up until October of this year. I had to use our local Express which had very few groceries.

I've now managed to pre booked my slots for at least the next 4 weeks as I'm supposed to self isolate. Hopefully I'll get what I order.

This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better as Boris has dithered instead of dealing with this crisis Cheltenham races is a classic example of stupidity
Yes it is going to get worse, and we're talking at least three months self isolation , and some say a year,

I didn't have the same luck with Tesco, they turned me down, i will try again as i also am a long time internet customer.

I've had some luck with some rice, on the general internet, but I'll believe it when I see it.

This is so sad to watch but it's a reality being faced by many people now and it's time for the government to implement strict rules about limiting the amount of any given product on grocery shelves so that everyone goes home with enough to sustain themselves. Industry must step up production, stores must ensure that their orders meets with the demands of today and people need to be mindful that their greed will not serve them well in the long run. sad flower

Check their on line delivery service on a daily basis if you can. I went on this am and was lucky to book another slot as they are putting them up weekly now instead of monthly. Just book the slot by putting on a couple of goods and pay with your card then the slot is reserved and you can add to it before the delivery is due. Good luck.handshake
