RE: "Mind your Buddy"

RE: Any stay at home hobbies would be appreciated...

I have noticed that your threads and posts are very well written, ever think of trying your hand at creative writing (Prose, Poetry, short stories), I have a feeling you could be good at it, only a thought.

RE: The Killer Budget

Apart from a few choice words of "Swahili" indiscriminately directed..what choice has one got...after all its the HSE we are talking about..answerable to no one.
My point was the waste of money
If I was in charge...hmmm...well I wouldn't be too upset about caricatures of a certain head of state being displayed...lampooning political figures is as old as corruption itself.
As regards doing something positive....how about looking at the broader picture?., like why pay rent for storing a multimillion piece of hardware thats probably outdated anyway...that sort of thing. thats 4200 a week almost 18,000 a month. That sort of stupid waste would go a long way...cumulatively
Thats a few pension levies per month sorted ????
I had mine deducted this morning...
Now I feel like decking someonefrustrated frustrated frustrated frustrated frustrated

RE: The Killer Budget

What's wrong with this picture ?????

I was scheduled to have a CAT scan in a midlands hospital yesterday...I drove an hour to get there to be told that it was cancelled...and given a load of hooey for an excuse.
My point:
There is a CAT scanner in storage in a Farm warehouse about 2miles from Monaghan Hospital. Cost to taxpayer for storage 600 euro a day.
Oh apparently quite a few of the e-voting machines stored there too at presumably a similar cost.

RE: Does anyone remember the old synthesizers like the Moog with the big ocilators and patch cables?

Was one of Keith Emerson's MOOG up for Auction in London last year.
There is an old store in my town that has been locked up for years...if you peep inside you can see an old Mini/Micro Moog under some dust sheets...oh if I was dishonest enoughcmoping

RE: Do you still wear your wedding rings after divorce?

Im widowed 10 years now, and still I wear my wedding band, and I dont propose to change that, unless the " significant other" I have given up on meeting, summarily requests it.....it stays !!!!!!

RE: GRASS SEED

Good for you applause applause applause applause applause applause

RE: Would you marry a person or seriously date a person that had s special needs child?

It has to be unconditional..otherwise there is nothing.
I lost two special needs children in my time..the love they gave and received was unconditional and based on innocence. Thats a rare gift people get in a lifetime..and its sad if people regard getting involved with a parent with special needs as an inconvenience or a put off.
I regard myself as blessed not to mention my surviving child/young manteddybear

RE: A Mother's Love Is A Blessing...

RE: A Mother's Love Is A Blessing...

Visions of my Mother

Mirror, Mirror, Tell me what you see
A walk in the park
A stroll in the dark
My Mother on Bent knees

Many years of work well done
Friends with aging faces
Visits to faraway Places
My Mother, Standing tall as one

Children and Grandchildren gathered around
With big bright eyes
All sun filled skies
My Mother, sitting on the ground

Stories of long ago
Brothers and Sisters all together
Christmas' that last forever
My Mother, with a new baby to hold

Mirror Mirror, Now I'll tell you what I see

RE: NOT repeat NOT for the FAINT hearted!!??

Yet another farmer and his new bride

The farmer took his new wife to see the animals they had, well lo and behold didn't the bull take a notion to mount the nearest cow.
The farmer turns to the wife and drools.
"Crikey I'd love to be doing that right now"
"Ah sure" she retorts "Why not"
"It is your cow after all"

RE: GRASS SEED

Hello Youkiss
Someone once asked me what do i put on my rhubarb...of course I answered well rotted farmyard manure.....the answer I didn't expect was "Oh I put custard on mine"rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Its all to do with soil temperature, once the frost is out of the soil say 1 foot down as a good rule of thumb. If you get a few good days like we have had, no problem sow away. Good drainage and de-stone the lawn as best you can. When it comes up a bit say after two or 3 months a good sow of ferrous sulphate keeps the moss, lichen etc away...Oh and the crows & birds love grass-seed.

"Tail" of woe

Thanks everyone..the only consolation is that well they had a family that loved them..that they had a year of semi-normality. They were together all the way. They would have had no chance otherwise.
I guess it was only pure greed. There are all sorts of unsavory practices going on with animals, lamping, ferreting hare coursing.

Thanks allapplause

"Tail" of woe

I know...I gutted about it..they would play like puppies and lie in the sun when they could.
I thought the thing about rewards for foxtails was a thing of the past.
We also have a buzzard that occasionally will nab the food left for the foxes and the cat..hardly a pet though.
There was something on Sky news about dolphins blowing bubble-rings and swimming through them and making shapes like smoke rings.
Too cute heart beating

"Tail" of woe

Thought I'd share this with y'all.
This time last year I found a pair of male fox cubs, they barely had their eyes open, so I fed them with a syringe kept them warm etc, etc and hoped for the best. Mother obviously had been shot or run over.
These two survived...we called them Szandor and La Veylaugh
They grew up semi wild but more like pets. The neighbors got used to them coming for walkies like ordinary dogs.
Arrived home Saturday, after spending time with a friend who was in hospital...to discover
Both the kiddies were shot dead and minus their tails.
Its at times like that one would nearly prefer animals to humanssigh

Anybody else have unusual pets??
