Would also be more than happy to leave the UK on my own. The only friend i have that lives within about 100 miles of me is my ex girfriend so wouldn't exactly be leaving too many mates behind

Work long shifts which gives more days off so find it easy to get away for 4 or 5 days at a time several times of the year. Not one for staying at the 'ritz', equally happy with 2 or 3 star hotels or b&b's so thet keeps the cost down & also not a person to spend a fortune at a posh restaurant when a or something similar will do the job

People say that about countries i have been to but i would love to see South America or some parts of Asia. Guess i should be grateful for the places i have seen. Will be adding another country to the list in november as visiting macedonia for the first time.

You're absolutely right. I don't think you can ever travel enough. I have been to 34 different countries but 32 of those are in Europe so need to branch out a bit more.
Can say a few words in about 10 languages ( Good morning, thanks you, how much is that etc ) . Can get by in Italy no problem due to my ex wife being Italian but would love to learn Russian.
