It´s not so much letting go.......as stepping back and playing the supportive role. Your niece´s life has taken a path which you and her parents would not have wished, but who can see into the future........it may be the making of her. Regarding the wedding...........for a 21 year old I think this is a fairly normal longing, but maybe the first thing to introduce would be the fact that the money could be better spent on the forthcoming adorable baby, and keep costs to a minimum. This would also show a depth of maturity from your niece, if accepted. If you, her parents and grandparents continue to carry her, she will never learn to stand on her own feet. Having said that, it´s a fine line to tread knowing when to assist and when to back off.
I would view it as just an expression that people use to say they don´t wanna stand out from the crowd. Maybe even people who have outstanding abilities want to describe themselves like this, cos that´s how they personally feel inside. How do you arrive at who´s "average" anyway. Everybody is contributing something to their own surroundings.
but the question is........how much are WE prepared to give!!!! I presume the heart has already been given when we are talking about the person you love. Although each one has his/her own mind........exchanging thoughts and knowledge are the key to connection.
If we are talking body and soul...........100%. Regarding the mind.........some of that has other people´s secrets which I would never divulge.........so that has to be 99%.
