All this got started years ago because some out of state landowner (from a state south of us) didn't want any part of his property taxes going into education, claimed it was "unconstitutional" because he didn't live here.
I had to go onto a burning fishing boat while in the Coast Guard. The co-pilot lowered me down from the chopper so I could see if anyone was on board. Found the guy below decks, hauled him out and placed him in a litter to be hoisted up into the chopper. While I was waiting, I could feel the deck getting hot thru my flight boots. The hoist came down with the horse collar which I put around myself. Just as I connected the horse collar to the hook, the deck let loose under me. Luckily the pilot was watching and hauled up on the collective pulling me out. I was still in full flight gear with the helmet visor down and wearing gloves. The worst I got was skinned legs. I put on one hell of a drunk that night

I remember one during the winter of 76/77. Was sitting next to a window when there was a bright flash and a loud boom. Struck a tree knocking it down scraping the window next to me. I went to Market Basket earlier, was nice as everyone did their shopping yesterday, the place was almost empty. Was kind of nice without having to wait for someone to get out of the middle of the aisle.
I'm not afraid of driving in this weather. I'll do the speed limit seeing how all the slowpokes are off the road
I had an email here in CS yesterday from someone advertising another site so I reported it. This morning I got an email from the CS crew stating this person had more than one profile and that they have been taken care of. Who know's, could be the same one

I have a 14 year old living with his mother and I see him every other weekend. I mentioned to the ex how I don't move out of state because of him. She surprised me with her answer, "You can always fly him down on school holiday weeks." The more I think about it, the more I am leaning that way. I put my social life on hold due to my oldest while he lived with me. Now that he's out on his own, I'm ready to get going again. Been alone for too dang long the past 10 years
About 4-5" of the stuff on the ground now and still falling heavily. I'd rather see a few inches of this stuff in Nov and then have it turn warm for the rest of winter
I used to work for a guy doing auto detailing, cleaning inside and out of the vehicles. One cold winter day, he went out and started a car, a Camaro, to warm it up before bringing it into the garage. Work was cancelled in case of power loss. Some materials such as pvc can be a pain if left in the extruders without running empty
