RE: People Looking for Mr/Ms Right

I don't care how low the standard bar goes... some folks manage to just slide right on under it! I've never really considered myself to be ridiculously picky... There has to be chemistry ~ doesn't everyone agree? After chemistry then if you can make me laugh then you can own my heart. Yeah.. make me laugh, be honest, kindhearted and good in bed grin Easy! rolling on the floor laughing

RE: What is........

I think there's a difference, although people call it different things I suppose. I love a lot of people.. yes, men too, but can't say I am in love with them. I would be there for them, I would give them anything they needed. I would stand up for them, fight for them, and be devastated if something happened to them. But I couldn't see myself in a romantic relationship with them. It's been so long since I've been "in love" with someone, that I don't know how to explain what that might feel like.. I think I forgot! confused

RE: Hello, I'm new here

Hi!! wave

RE: Which one is better way ??

LMAO ~ yep, that would work!

It's very tempting to just ignore until they go away.. I know,I know, that makes me sound like a cold hearted witch. Isn't that human nature? Maybe not.. maybe that's cold hearted witch nature.

I've been on the other end of that too.. made first contact, talked a bit, and then POOF! Gone. It didn't break my cold little heart. But maybe that's the witch thing. I dunno

RE: Nuclear Meltdown.

RE: Mosque near Ground Zero - Verbal Diarrhea - Part TWO

And this is exactly what I wonder too ahmad!

RE: Mosque near Ground Zero - Verbal Diarrhea - Part TWO

I completely disagree with you. But "prejudice" seems to be a huge and ongoing card that gets played between those of us who disagree politically.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm just saying it isn't the crux of every situation, or the reason that controversies such as this are an issue. Prejudice never crossed my mind actually (as a reason for not wanting a mosque built at ground zero) until you brought it up here.

RE: Mosque near Ground Zero - Verbal Diarrhea - Part TWO

I believe that mutual respect and desire to build bridges is a noble thing. Many things need to happen for such a thing to exist. The entire issue is highly emotional. It's more emotional than anything else actually, and that's never a good thing when a business proposition is on the table... but it is what it is.

I think that compromise MUST happen in order to satisfy both sides of this issue. The issue isn't political. I don't think it ever was. Nobody wanted to deny anyone the right to build a church/mosque. Nobody wants to disallow American Muslims a place to worship their God. It's psychological, and emotional. And I'm not sure how prejudice comes into play at all.

RE: Mosque near Ground Zero - Verbal Diarrhea - Part TWO

It seems very easy for you to demand that America respect the Muslims right to build their mosque, but difficult for you to expect that the Muslims show a little respect about where to build it. What right are we taking away from them by asking that they build their church somewhere else? I don't get it. It does matter to me.
I would think that building bridges would also include a mutual respect.

RE: Mosque near Ground Zero - Verbal Diarrhea - Part TWO

I agree with you, let them build their mosque. Let them, and everyone else worship as they please. Is it so much to ask that they afford the victims and survivors of 9/11 the simple respect of building it somewhere else. I don't understand why it has to be there is all. Do you?

RE: Mosque near Ground Zero - Verbal Diarrhea - Part TWO

It's not about religion or the Muslim's right to practice their religion in a mosque or anywhere else. There are already mosques in that area. But a brand new Islamic cultural center and mosque being built near the site where self proclaimed representatives of Islam killed thousands of people has many psychological and emotional consequences for the families of those killed and survivors of that horrid event.
It's about respect, and in this case, I think those who need to afford the respect are the folks who want to build the mosque. There are hundreds of other places where that same building can be erected and prayed in.

RE: OBAMA AFTER ONE YEAR

cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering

Nicely stated!

RE: America is the worlds policeman today, why do so many of us criticise their help?

Yeah, that is sad. America may be the new kid on the block, but her short history has saved a lot of asses out there country wise. But that's not even what this is about.. people will always feel the way you do about America.. it's because she is great. If she were a mousy country that didn't get involved regardless of how those who need help feel about her, no one would have a damn thing to say.

I love America. I'm very proud to live here. I hope you feel free to go live somewhere else... this is America after all, and you have the right to do that! Just sayin...

RE: FOX has sunk to a new low.

AMEN

RE: dating

Hahahaha dreamer!

Kudos to the woman who made YOU what you are today seek! I can only imagine...

RE: WE ARE F___KED!

I refer to those who were so distraught by conservative government that they followed Obama and his idealistic notions like little lemmings, as koolaid drinkers.

RE: WE ARE F___KED!

We do deserve better.. unfortunately, we got what wethe koolaid drinkers voted for, and thus we got what wethe koolaid drinkers wanted.

This news that you speak of is nothing new. Nothing will change,it's naivety at it's most profound to not realize that corporations are already influencing votes in a huge way. Wake up!

RE: ALWAYS Follow Your Instincts !

Hahah!

RE: Why I Just Walked Away

I posted in this thread earlier, and I still stand by my opinion. I don't judge bay for walking away... however some of the comments I've seen coming from him and a few others in this thread I find hilarious. Mostly because I haven't seen a single picture from a guy mouthing off on this thread that has an ounce of room to be judgemental about someone's weight, looks or anything else. YIKES!! Your sense of entitlement is astounding!

I completely understand the need to be physically attracted to someone before anything else might ensue.. but I'm thinking most of you guys might want to lower the bar a little bit! Look in the mirror at least, before you continue to embarrass yourselves publicly by telling us in so many words what you think you deserve! HA! Good luck with that!

RE: Pay the Price.

You can be alone with your thoughts any time you wish.. shut off the world.. get on with yourself!
Why do you think the world should do that together? Just curious.

RE: Why I Just Walked Away

In all fairness (and before I lose my woman card) doesn't it seem to you girls like the woman deserved the brush off? After all SHE was the one who was initially overly concerned with how HE looked. She made the big deal out of being physically attracted etc. etc. She played a game she couldn't win if she was lying about her physical appearance. WHAT exactly would you have expected him to do? She put him in a pretty awkward position by leading him to believe he was going to see something entirely different from what he saw. He reacted pretty humanly I think. I think turning and leaving was far better than standing there with his mouth wide open trying to think of something nice to say.

RE: Okay, let's make this perfectly clear...

I have my IMs turned off because I discovered that there are very few people capable of having a decent conversation via IM... and now I'm starting to wonder if that is just true for any method of conversing!! Scary!

I must say.. I could/would have talked to you all night.. funny guy! But yeah... apparently it's difficult stuff! dunno Who knew?
