I had a date with a woman from another dating site, she said in her ad she was 5'6 135 pounds, she wanted to make sure I looked good, before I could meet her I had to send a pic from that day with no shirt on, just to make sure she was attracted to my body, that was important to her. Well her only pic was in a bathing suit and she was smokin hot, I could not wait to meet her, we met at a Starbucks in San Mateo, I hired a freaking baby sitter to be with my kids while I was out because it was 6pm and I was hoping this might go ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!! Well freaking well, when I walked into the Starbucks right on time she was starring right at me and standing about three feet away, I was shocked you see I recognized her face but she had gained over 50 freaking pounds, she said "are you Bay?" I said "No" turned and got back to my car asap without looking back. Then I called her from my cell phone and said I had an emergency and could not make it, she said "I know that was you" I said back "oh was that you, I did not recognize you, you look different than your pic". Was I right to do that???

I can not say it was right or wrong, but I have done this myself. Lie to me before we meet and you will lie to me forever. I ever give them an opportunity to clarify their profile before we meet.
You know, I can't say I blame you. SHE LIED!! That would of made me very mad and if I'm mad....well lets just say its better I walk away. The nerve of this chick!

Well it was not a plan to do that, it was just a shock and I was mad she made me go through taking pictures for her, if she said beforehand she looked different from her pic I am sure I wouldnt have done that.

You know what else....I don't know that I would of called her to tell her I had an emergency. In fact, I probably would not of answered the phone knowing it was her, at all.
In my opinion, first off,I want you to understand that I can relate to your frusration. It really sucks that someone just couldn't be upfront about the truth over something regarding their appearance.Everyone on these sites rants over the lack of dishonestly, both guys and gals. But,regardless, just because she didn't do the right thing by you, that doesn't mean you need to be dishonest and uncordial as well. You could still be a gentleman and treat her properly, just to prove ,if nothing else, that you can do the right thing.walking away would only have convinced her that being honest just doesn't pay and we both know that wouldn't have been of value to anyone.

He was in shock though. You know how it is when you have just had something major sprung on you. You can't think. He probably got into his car and started thinking about how he should of handled the situation, or what he should of said. By then though, it's too late and you've done what you've done. Then you are just mad.

The only thing I started to think later is that I didnt want her to think that she was too fat or no good. I thought well maybe I should have sat down and said you should update your photo, and all that, but actually I was also worried if she gave me back talk I might become rude and over the top. I was mad and felt so angry at myself for being excited and for taking the time to meet her.

I have had the same thing happen, I sat and had the dinner and we talked but I told her I was dissapointed in that she was not honest on her profile, I felt she had a right to know why I was not going to go out with here again, If someone did not want to go out with me again I would like to know why.

Ok so its not the best thing to do walking away.....But an extra 50 pounds makes her one big lady and I guess I would have walked away........ run away is more like it !!!

Yes, I would of felt that way too. I can't stand for someone to lie to me. That just burns me up. She knew what she was doing was wrong. If she didn't, well she just isn't a very bright person. I mean....come on....10 pounds is one thing...but 50? That's an obvious difference. She lied...that's all it is to it. She was very dishonest in what she did. Now, would I hate her or something....no, but if I had been in that situation my only thought would be to leave and pull myself together.

Hi woods.
yeah, you did the right thing bro. that was not a good way to start any kind of date leading up to a relationship. if she lied about that on the first meeting, just think of what she's capable of lieing about after you two have time under your belts. hmmmm. dont sweat it, theres plenty of rightous women out there who are honest. right ladies?

Her actions tell me that she is very insecure and deceiving.
