Just be honest and tell the person how you feel and that you do not believe that anything mutually agreeable can come from communicating with each other. If you do not feel comfortable writing to the person, simply say so. If the person does not accept your wishes, then just block their email. That may sound harsh, but acceptance of not getting what we want, is a big part of maturity and living sanity.

tell the person straight fowardly so he wouldn't have guilt that something wrong with him and he can move on.. and plus he wouldn't hold a grudge against you or your kind....
and you would be free from continuously thinking/worrying about that you didn't tell him what you have to...and there would be no guilt no regret on both sides
