Hiya from Atlantic Beach, NC. Just curious, but why people from the US?
I'm a southerner through and through. I love living on the beach. Ireland is also the top on my list of places to visit. Don't sell your country short...it's BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I have suffered severe panic attacks since the age of 16. They began to debilitate my life....I wouldn't leave the house. I began by a feeling of being in a dreamlike state, then moved on to a racing heart, disoriantation, and then I'd black out. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder and the doc. I was seeing didn't like to put his patiants on traqs, so we tried everything. When I went in for an appointment, he sat me down and told me I was the first patiant he was going to pu a narcotic. At first I was put on Xanax, and I stopped having them. You have no idea how relieved I was, and how my life changed. Since then my diagnosis has changed to severe bi-polar, which, thank god, is under control with medication. Sorry for being so longwinded but I care about your friends. If you're with one and they start to have one, calmly tell them that it's just a panic attack and it will go away. If they feel dizzy have them breathe in and out of a paper bag. Good luck and my heart goes out to your friends. ICY
When you were a kid, and asked what you wanted to be when you grew up, what was your answer. Some answers are really off the hook! When I was asked in the first grade, my answer was not to be a teacher or nurse but I innocently and truthfully replied "A goverment assasin". Of course the parents were called immediately! LOL A true story.
