They do, they have to, life is too short for anyone to accumulate any meaningful level of first hand knowledge, if you don't make assumptions you'l have very few opinions about anything.

I don't dispute that there were various Un resolutions but they were all trumped up charges as was the main reason the US finally used to intimidate the UN to invade i.e. the threat that Iraq was manufacturing nuclear weapons.

The pro democracy movement sweeping the middle east is a result of natural development aided by better communication between east and west, intel, google and facebook have more to do with whats going on there now than Bush.
