My thoughts on it are that it is easy to over-analyze things in hindsight. Intellectual and Scientific evolution is bound to happen, I think they are very inter-related and I don't think there is anything wrong with social networking on the Internet, provided that, like with EVERYTHING in life, there is balance...

Jan, you made me laugh out loud with your comment about the French bread. It's so true! They ALWAYS have a sixpack of eggs too, which very often fall and break!

Also, you may be hanging upside down from the ceiling, tied by your ankles, trying to steal that precious gem in the window display in the middle of the room, without setting off the laser beam alarms criss crossing around the gem and you somehow manage it, even though something slips from your hand or you dont reach something else, in the end, you just do it, COZ IT'S A FILM FOLKS, it's not real life!!!!

If I may say my 3rd wish, it would be that from now and forever, Humanity ONLY worked with the good of the whole as a rule and had zero tolerance and dealt with in an exemplary way, with people and boards or trustees etc who acted in sefish and self profiteering ways, thus medicines would be sold only for the benefit of sick people and not because despite the fact that people didn't really need them, pharmaceutical companies would promote them (often using fearmongering, e.g. Swine Flu) often to make healthy people sicker in the process, just so they could add another few millions in their already inflated pockets.

This would extend to all aspects of social life.

Our animal instincts would kick in and we would go into "survival mode". Each depending on their personality. Under crisis situations, humans show their true colours, don't they? If your child was crying because it was hungry and you had just managed to find a piece of bread from somewhere but your best friend just knocked at your door with an almost dying child in his/her hands, a child in a worse situation than yours, what would you do??? Supermarkets looted, ATMs and banks not operational, people guarding against being looted... What would you do, would you give the single piece of bread to your friend?

My logic says I would. Now! When my belly's full and the world is tranquil. I honestly cannot say how I would react though in THOSE circumstances... I would not like to think about it...

Well, I have to admit, so do I..... You get used to not having to "report" to anyone or doing things at the spur of the moment without having to wait for or conform to someone else's plans for the day! I am not saying I don't get lonely, I would still want a companion but my ideal relationship would be when at the end of the day (or early morning ) each one went to their own home and their own space. That way no one feels crushed or overpowered, in today's individualistic society.....
