First of all I wanted to say that I agree with what Dagosto has written, change the pic, upload a pic that shows your face, with a nice and genuine smile, no sun glasses, as people like to look at the eyes as well.
I personally find pics showing cars and motorbikes a turn off, people who are genuine about looking for someone will not care if you have a mercedes or a bike.
Writing about oneself can be hard, but just be yourself, if you are having difficulty in expressing yourself, say it, it is absolutely fine, BE YOURSELF, THAT IS THE KEY.
The comment on writting back to people who rated your photos is a very good one, I never thought of it myself, you will connect with nice people that way, and it is easier as you alredy know that they liked your pic, so it is a start right?
Finally, about people not replying to your messages: there are many reasons why a person would not reply. Don't take it personally, they my not have the time, they may not be sure of what they want, they may be corresponding with someone else and are not sure if they want to talk to anyone else, etc.
The important thing is to be yourself, be positive and patient, a nice girl will come up your way, but loving yourself is crucial for her to be able to love you.

I think that is just the way it goes, after some email exchange, people will either click or not. It takes time to connect with someone, but it happens.

Remember also that many are players, and once they realise that there will be no playing coming from a girl, they just lose interest.

If you go to settings you can block people from contacting you. Only people to whom you gave your skype name will be able to ask to be added. Now, if we volunteer our info to the wrong people, that is a different story.

I use it all the time, for years now, to talk to family and friends who are far away. If they have internet, the call is free, if they don't, Skype offers rates cheap rates to call landlines or mobiles, depending on the country. I call landlines in Brazil for 2cents! nearly nothing. Skype is a great service.

I think that the right time is when it feels right to both of you, and you will know it when it comes.

Just one other thing, you say that is expensive to call people who are abroad, why don't you use Skype? You can call them for free, provided that they also have Skype, even calling landlines from Skype is incredibily cheap, make the most of the internet marvels.
Now, if you are questioning costs of a phone call, what about flight tickets? Maybe it would be easier to look for someone a bit closer to you?

Men with loads of tatoos are a turn off for me. Not into them myself, but I have seen really nice tatoos on both women and men, I think it all depends on taste, what I may consider too much, may be seen as artistic by other people.

Thanks for letting me know, I knew that there should be some sort of help available in CS, just didn't know how that worked. To be honest, since then, If I get a message from someone who has no pic I simply ignore it. That was also why I added to my profile that I would not answer to messages without a photo, I am here to meet people, and who knows to meet the man that will take my breath away, not to get distressed with time wasters like that.

Now, can someone say something really funny and silly to lighten it up??
