Hi Fiyah. Welcome to our place. There are some really sweet people here, (and the guys are charming,).. Jump into the threads so you can get to know everyone.
Yes, Chance, I agree. Nobody knows that kind of loss unless they have been through it and felt it. Your poem brought back memories, now I can look back and smile at the good times we had. Bittersweet memories.....
Chance. It had to be really hard for you to see that man that looked like your husband, brings back so many memories. Once in awhile, I see this one guy in town that is the spittin' image of mine that passed away. It just makes you stop...like ya can't move. Thank you for sharing another beautiful poem.
Alot of people don't realise how hard it is to work 10-12 hours, 6 days a week in a factory, come home and do housework, and still have children to raise alone because their fathers refuse to help.
Mothers miss out on alot of things with the kids because they had to go to work. But I raised 2 very fine kids that I'm so proud of.
But, I wouldn't change a thing, because my kids know who they can count on.
Thank you, Lutz, for giving some women some respect.
I have worked hard to support and raise my 2 kids. I have NEVER asked anyone for anything because if I could not get it on my own, I did not need it to start with. There are good women out here that don't want a man to support them, I know I don't want a man to support me as I can and DO support myself and my son. Hope you find ya a good one soon. (These are your words of hope).
See what I meant Chance? Once you start writing, it all just starts "pouring" out, and it's like you can't stop. Another beautiful one from you, straight from the heart.
You are a really sweet person Laurie, and a good friend.
You've been there for US too, ya know. And if I've told ya once, I've told ya a hundred times. I LOVE IT when you get your "feathers" ruffled and give em hell. Your quick wit and sense of humor, at times has me almost falling out of my chair. lol.
Another good one Chance. Always heartfelt when coming from you. I keep telling my daughter and her husband I'm not old enough to be a "Granny" yet, but having that little precious one to hold and love would be nice. You get to love and spoil it and send it back to it's Momma.
Chance, what a beautiful dedication to your "little princess". I can feel your love for Kaitlyn all the way in Indiana. This is truly heartfelt. Thank you for sharing.
