counciling has not changed who I am, but it has brought out the best in me, and it has helped me to deal with the darkness in me. the trick is to find a councilor you think you like.
Gardening is great. u plant stuff if it grows great and if it doesent theres no work and u put leftovers in the compost cause nothing goes to waste in the garden.
I have taught art therapy ....when u feel like u cant express it get paper and colours and let yourself cover the paper till your finished... u can burn it keep it and u can always do another till u feel better.
I have also used writing ... scribbling thoughts or poetry.
you have loads of ideas in this thread to play with.
the main thing is we understand and are here and wish u love and luck on your journey

Keith, you have every reason to be upset, something like this is far reaching and it will take time for things to be some what normal again.
Dont feel useless...be there for them, now and in the months ahead. I have been through personal tragedy and you need your friends to carry you at times like this, even if thats just sitting in silence with you.

I drove all over scotland in a ford fiasta with my 2 girls when they were younger. We did the highland and islands thing and enjoyed it. but id pick the time cause the weather is even worse than donegal but it was beautiful.
France might be more fun for a road trip if you have 2 drivers

We have pasport issues so traveling will have to be put off for now. We did know about the benidorm meet and were really interested in going to alicante but we will have to wait till he gets his passport
