Thats an amazing post Trish , I couldnt agree more. You probably better than anyone know my beliefs, but its like everything in life, I believe its important for me to question aspects of my faith, its teachings & beliefs.
Too many people have hidden behind the protection of the church for their own gain, the Spanish were masters of it as they had total protection from the vatican & everything was a holy crusade , from the Armada to South America.
One historical aspect which shows how people used it for wrong reasons was the treatment of the Knights Templar ( no not the Davinci Code version) they were loyal beyond the cause during the early crusades & developed financial & land assets skills which upset the French & Spanish Kings hence their inquisitions & branded heretics for no reason but greed
NO but it was awfully quiet without you, I tried my best I think I have been called a non christian athiest douchebag or similar, but I laughed when I read it.
The really sad plus annoying part is we have done our research, we know what we are talking about & they still are ignorant & at times rude

We are subjected to that here, that white man is to blame for all the culture loss, but its taboo to mention have the elder people within the aboriginal nations actually bothered to share their culture
here they are trying to dumb down history in schools, PC beurocratic crap basically its quite sad , and they are trying to teach a nice history, like Captain Cook landed in Australia in 1770 & had scones & a cup of earl grey tea with the local Aboriginal elders
Thats so true people say it should be forgotten what happened in Europe & the Pacific but I believe it should be a reminder of what evil can do to innocent people
Im not trying to be negative I love the AU/NZ forums I guess all that has happened has worn me down a bit. But today is a bright new day & a new journey maybe for our forum
