Its amazing what a shave does & yes he had an amazing voice he was a brilliant British Blues singer aswell as rock . Was far too good for some of the smaller bands he played for its a real pity that he passed away just before they became the great international band they now are & I am also glad that Angus & malcolm decided to keep the bad going in his memory as they were close to coming home from England & folding the band
Yes I am aware of that & thankyou for sharing what you did in your post , I guess most Australians have respect for them due to the Gallipoli confict between the ANZACs & the Turkish forces.
This is an Adelaide band from the early 70s called FRATERNITY....Bonn Scott was their lead singer, complete with beard . He left this band for AC/DC after a gig at the Pooraka hotel. The drummer & backup vocalist is Swanee
It was actually a Sydney journalist in around 1900 wrote an article for a Sydney newspaper on Adelaide & he coined the phrase city of churches, due to at that stage in time there being 10 churches surrounding Victoria Square precint.
After that it stuck and was used from then on as a reference to Adelaide, also because at that stage in time the Weslyan methodist church ( now uniting) was very influential in business circles not only in Adelaide & surrounding villages, but at the Wallaroo & Moonta Mines which was the largest employer in the state at that time ( not just with mining, but related industries)
Just a side bit to this here in Australia employment agencies & workplaces are having great trouble with resumes & job applications with some of the younger people as they write it as they would a text message
